Chapter 1💗 The Return

Damon's POV

It was late, around 6:30pm and it was already getting dark, I licked my lips savouring the sour taste of the victims blood lingering in my mouth, I wiped my mouth clean and walked through the woods, It had been 5 years today that Elena and I were together.. if she hadn't of left. I wandered through the trees remembering the first time we met, She was stood in a bar drinking white wine, she was with her friends Bonnie and Caroline and thats how my whole life started. We used to live here for a while, Elena and I were going through a rough patch, She was handling her emotions as a Vampire and i cheated.. I shouldn't have but there was just an irrestible one girl I couldn't leave.. Chloe, She was so manipulative but sexy and really powerful, she was mean and dangerous, the opposite to Elena and i have no idea why i would want that when i had Elena to myself when any other boy could of had her. I wondered how she was, what she was doing, Who she was with but i never got a call, no text, no nothing. It was all silent for a very long while. I went through more bushes and trees  and then stopped in my tracks and saw a phone on the step, i walked over and saw a photo appear.. it was Elena, it was Elena's phone..

Elena's POV

I was in the bar where Damon and I first met, I ordered the same drink i ordered when I first met him, A White Wine. I brushed my hair back from my shoulders and then a gloved hand smashed the glass out of my hand and covered my mouth, I yelped and screamed for help and then i was pushed outside, I dropped my phone on the steps as i got pushed into the dirt, I panicked and panicked, and then it all went silent and I saw a call pull up, it was dark blue, I ran and ran and then I got into another car a black one and drove off quickly I sped way above the speed limit and then the next thing i knew i was flat out in a car upside down bleeding...

Damon's POV

I saw a car tumble over, i placed her phone in my pocket and I ran towards the car and then i noticed a girl flat out pleading for help, I bent down and then noticed her gorgeous brown eyes, It was Elena.. I looked at her helpless face and frowned

"Elena...? What the hell are you doing here?" I asked

She wasn't responding to me, I panicked and then broke the car door off with my strength and picked her up and held her in my arms tight.

"Hold on i'm here... Elena stay with me!!" I shouted shaking her

She opened her eyes slowly and tears started running down quickly making her face wet and she frowned. I held her and then she cried

"I'm sorry" she cried

She collapsed into my arms, i shook her but she wasn't responding, I picked her up bridal style and carried her down the road hoping she would wake up. Hours passed and she hadn't awoken, i got back to the house and laid her on the red sofa and stroked her hair and waited, Caroline walked in wearing a fancy grey bodycon dress with a gold purse in her hands and then she gasped.

"Is that Elena?" She asked

"I fount her in a car, it stumbled over, no idea what happened" i mumbled

"Oh Damon.. are you ok?" Caroline asked

"I just want her safe.. i need to go.. look after her" I nodded

"Of course" Caroline nodded

I walked out unsure of what to do and then walked to the grill and sat down at the bar, Elena had came back? What was she doing back? I had so many unanswered questions, I had missed her but all she said was she's sorry, what did that mean? I was so confused, I sipped my bourbon slowly and thought about things, I hadn't been properly in love since Elena left, she was the only one who brought out the best in me and nobody could change that.. not even her

I walked back home to find Elena still peacefully asleep and Caroline sat next to her, Caroline and I haven't really been the best of friends but shes a good person and my brother does deserve her, I shut the door quietly and walked in and she smiled faintly, I looked down at Elena, her long silky brown hair was over her thin shoulders, Her legs were ontop of Caroline's lap, Caroline got up and placed Elena's thin legs onto the sofa and stood up opposite me.

"You decided to come back?" She asked

"Well i can't exactly leave her can I?" I asked and sighed

"I know, I'm going to go home its late" Caroline nodded

"No Caroline Stefan's upstairs, go speak to him, sort it out with him, like you said its late.. you can stay here, Elena will need her friend by her side" I nodded

"Thank you Damon" Caroline smiled faintly and went upstairs

I bent down on the floor and stroked my finger down Elena's cheek and through her long brown hair, i sighed and then kissed her hand as i gripped it tight.

"You have no idea how much i've missed you... The moment you finally come back and you end up getting in a car crash, You always loved adventures didn't you? I'll see you in the morning.. i love you" I whispered and smiled

I kissed her on her head gently and pulled away and then got some pillows and blankets and laid down on the floor next to the sofa she was on.

This chapter wasn't really interesting but i think its good to see how Damon feels about her return.

This book took me ages to plan properly so im sorry its late
