Chapter 20💗 The Hybrid

A month later....

Stefan's POV

It had been a month since my best friend was put away and gone forever, none of us were coping well. Damon started being the head of the house and looking after us all hiding his pain, Elena was a pregnant woman and she was young and scared, she didn't know what to do as Kai was back and I would always catch her crying into her pillow at night when nobody was around.. When Damon was too busy distracting himself, Bonnie has distanced herself away from everyone and Everyone including Klaus has been a wreck, and then there's me. I would get drunk every night and drown my sorrows in bourbon bottle after bottle night after night trying to feel her next to me but the pain would never go away, it just stayed there like I deserved it.

I was very hungover and I ended up walking in and falling on the floor, cracking the door. Elena came round the corner and you wouldn't think she was pregnant at all, she had no make up on and she wore a white shirt and blue jeans and her hair was messy over her shoulders, she sighed and grabbed my arm and laid me down on the sofa and wrapped me in lots of blankets.

"Fun night huh?" She asked and sighed

"You wouldn't believe it.." I chuckled

"Entertain me, Damon's gone out to god knows where for cleaning supplies" she sighed

"Again?" I asked

"Everyday" she frowned

"How's the baby?" I asked tired

"Just keeps kicking every five minutes of the day" she smiled

"Any news on Kai?" I asked

"He called yesterday and wanted to check on the baby, not like he cares" she sighed

"Why does he care?" I asked confused

"Because the baby will be a Gemini twin and apart of his culture so he wants the baby to be like him which is not going to happen unless he is going to kill me and everyone else" Elena smirked

"Do you know what gender the baby is?" I asked

"I'm actually on my way to find out.." She paused

"Did you tell Damon?" I asked

"I tried but he's busy distracting himself from whatever torture his mind is going to give him if he doesn't" Elena frowned

"I'll come with you?" I offered

"Stefan not to be rude but you fell through the door and now it's broken so imagine what you would be like in a hospital" she giggled

"Honestly, I will sober up on the way, you shouldn't go through this alone and if Damon can't be there then I will, you and this baby are our family" I smiled

"Thank you Stefan" she smiled "okay stop getting me emotional and get ready, I'll be in the car" she smiled and walked out

I drank 4 glasses of water, combed my hair and then took a quick shower, I need to get myself together and start a future even though it hurt without my best friend by my side I had to move on and helping Elena was the first step, I got changed and then tied my shoes up and walked out and got in the car, closing the doors, she smiled and drove down the road and down to the hospital...
