Second last chapter update for awhile. I'm going to let this sit and see how many people actually read this. I have a theory that needs to be put to the test.

Altaria stared at the clock. She didn't realize her situation until now. Her phone and watch were gone. Obviously when Nathan had taken her back he had removed them from her body.

She was completely trapped. It wasn't her dilemma that scared her. It was the house and the man. That was her fear. The man probably still lived here and she wasn't sure how she felt about that.

Altaria just felt sick when she thought about what happened six years ago. Now, she stared blankly at the clock on the wall. 3:45 PM.

She quietly rose and walked to the closet. Empty. She went to a drawer. Empty.

She wasn't sure what she was looking for but the hunt just began. Altaria searched the entire room. She tore open the wardrobe, peeled back parts of the large carpet, flipped the mattress, and found nothing. The room was spotless.

Then, she just fell on the floor. Her heart burned and tears flowed freely. Hope had never felt so far away as it did now. She was at Nathan's will and she couldn't do anything about it.

Breathe Ally. Breathe. You're going to be okay. No one has the ability to hurt you except for yourself.

She curled up into a ball and smiled sadly. Right.

Her eyes closed and she fell into a short nap.

When Nathan came to check up on her, she was sitting on the bed staring at the clock again. 4:30 PM.

"Ready to agree to the contract before dinner?" She paid him no attention but answered his question.

"I'm not agreeing to anything." She heard a sigh.

"Can I at least tell you what it's about? You haven't heard me out." Altaria kept watching the seconds tick away.

"Look. I'm not going to lie to you because I'm a pretty blunt person, but I'm in a very delicate situation. I'm having an emotional distress that's personal. I don't want to deal with your stupid games yet."

She heard another sigh. Thirty seconds passed - she counted - before Nathan spoke.

"Just hear me out." This time Altaria turned her gaze to him.

"Fine." He motioned for her to follow him and she did. They went down a hall and stepped into a large bedroom. This one had more furniture in it and looked like it belonged to a princess.

Everything was either a royal purple or a rich brown. Altaria was enchanted and looked around. Then she stared, puzzled, at Nathan.

"Why'd you bring me here?" He had been watching her reaction as he stood by the door.

"This is your new room. Check out your closet." Warily, she went into a small side room. A thin curtain acted as a barrier.

Inside there was a rack. On that rack hung seven of the same onesies. Brown bear onesies. They were all her size.

She took one off its hook and came back into the room. The fabric was heavenly and it didn't help that she was obsessed with bears.
