Cain pov
I was surprised when Layla asked to sleep with me but I couldn't say no when I say her face. She looked like she was about to cry.  Layla is human so I never thought I would be able to hold her this soon. For the first time in a long time I feel into a deep and silent sleep.

When I woke up the next morning I was in bed alone. I freaked out at first 'she could have just woken up before us.' My beast Zarus (zair-us) said. That seems ok.

I got up did me daily routine before putting on a black suit with a navy blue tie and headed towards where ever Layla was.

No where she was no where I've been looking for her for almost an hour. "WHERE IS SHE." I shouted with Zarus' voice seeping through. Every one that was near me either bowed or collapsed. "Si- sir we didn't she her leave." One of the guards on duty said. "HOW DO YOU NOT SEE SOMEONE LEAVE." This time it was only Zarus that shouted. "Check the cameras. NOW." I said as calmly as possible.

She she didn't leave her room. We didn't have cameras in the bedrooms but there were some right outside the door. The door was never opened.

I ran to Laylas room and in the process bursting through a few walls. When I got to her room I didn't hesitate to break down the door. I searched her room nothing was out of place it was only her scent in the room.

I had the maids and butlers search the house and I had my men search the country. 

Zarus had been pacing in the back of my head wanting to come out and kill everyone and thing until our mate came back. But I pushed him back and instead destroyed every breakable thin in my room besides the bed because sent was still present on it.

ONE WEEK LATER

One week it has been one week one miserable terrible week Zarus came out latte last night my giant 8'7 beast destroyed everything that didn't have her scent and killed everyone on the first floor.

Everyone that was looking for her came up with nothing. It's like she vanished and I wanted her to reappear. 

I was outside getting more agitated by the minute these dumb asses still hadn't  given me any information that I wanted.

"I WANT TO SEE HER NEXT TO ME IN THE NEXT MINUTE AND IF NOT I'LL KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU!!" I was fuming and Zarus was just about to come out when I heard it I heard the voice that I had missed and yearned to hear the past week. 

"Cain that's not very nice" I hadn't moved so fast in years. I held her in my arms taking in her scent making sure she was real and I let out a few whimpers and growls. "Where were you?" I finally was able to form words. "I uh went for a walk and got lost." SHE GOT LOST!!

"So what are you looking for I could help." I couldn't help but smile at her innocence and held her tighter. "nothing I already found it."
