Before Jenna fell, she grabbed onto a pole knocked out of the edge of the lighthouse. Maybe she realized she didn't want to do this. I already called 911. Firefighters and police are on the way. I start to run up the stairs off the lighthouse, to get to Jenna, to assure her safety. Tears begin to fall down my face. As I approach Jenna, I can tell she's debating weather or not to let go.
I walk to her. "Jenna." I call. She looks at me, her crystal blue eyes filled with tears and pain. "Tyler, I don't know." She says. Those words make my heart sink into my stomach, and my legs go to rubber. I don't want to break down in front of Jenna, she'll be afraid. So I stand up straight. "Jenna, if you end it so do I." She widens her eyes, but doesn't say anything. "Give me your hand, carefully." I tell her. Slowly she does. Slowly she climbs back in, and now I can assure her safety. She's okay. Now I start to cry. Harder then I was earlier. Jenna does too, realizing if she had ended her life, she wouldn't be sitting here, next to me, on the floor of this lighthouse. She kisses me, not a plain kiss but one with passion and gratitude. I smile in the kiss, happy to have Jenna, happy to have her alive. I break the kiss and pick Jenna up, like she's my bride. I carry her skinny self down the stairs. Everyone sees her and cheers, but I don't want them and she tells me she doesn't either. I smile at them and walk towards my house, still carrying Jenna.
We get to my house and I put Jenna down on the couch, get a blanket and wrap it around her and put on a movie for her. I then go make her some tea to calm her down. I go sit down next to her, and as we watch the movie, every few minutes I look at her to make sure she's okay. I kiss her often too, to show her that I love her.
