I really just want to take a minute to talk about this generation. I am really really concerned for my generation because I look around my school, I see on social media and on the news how kids now a'days are super unintelligent and like minded. I have a feeling that if we as a generation don't understand the effects and importance of human capital then as we grow older we will have a big impact on the world as we know it... And not in a good way... I understand that it's not as simple as "changing a generation " but it is something that I feel needs to happen. Sure, there are some really intelligent and important kids that shape our future but a vast majority of kids are more worried about what kind of coffee they order instead of what kind of political or economic system their country has. I personally am not very big into politics but I do feel like it is important to know how big of a role government plays in our life. It is the difference between life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and a red country with total control.
I also feel that education plays a huge role in all of this. I don't mean we need to beef up on teaching kids trigonometry or forensics. I mean that kids need to know important stuff like history or economy. I personally am not good in school, I get about a B average if I am lucky, I don't do homework nor do I care to. But I do however go home and read about the Cold War or effects of psychedelics. Which I probably will not talk about in here because I don't want the Feds knocking on my door one day.
