...Or So We Thought (Hallow Bastion Part 1)

As I write this and re-read the story and write again and re-read again to try to go back to those days, I couldn't imagine that the part that I am about to tell you isn't the best.... no where near as a matter of fact. There were problems back then, that's true, but what is about to happen to our little Heartless family will not be enjoyable. Things will happen and if you thought there was a happy ending... well spoiler, there really isn't.

If you want to stick to the Neverland chapter to be the ending then by all means to avoid tears and sorrow, stop reading now.

.....

Very well, those who are still reading it all started with the gang's Gummi ship crashing...

Near Hallow Bastion's Waterway- Mitsuko's P.O.V

"Everyone OK?" I said as I looked back to see the gang gasping for air

"When was the last we had to RUN from something?" Yuzuki asked as she caught up to the turn and started leaning on a wall, catching her breath.

"WAAAAALLLLL" Takeshi yelled from a distance and instead of turning, the three guys crashed into the wall.

"Takeshi... out of all the times you could be a Large Body?" Mamoru asked

" Yeah..." Yukio agreed while gasping for air, "And I think we were... Better off dying by... the crash then... dying of exhaustion"

Takeshi explained as he was trying to get on his feet,"Well, at least I protected you guys from the Defenders and the Wizard's projectiles."

Then Mamoru added, "But who got us caught by the Defenders and the Wizards?"

"I was trying to show that I can block Yuzuki's Charge bite attack" Takeshi explained

"It doesn't matter anymore," I told them, "Lets just find a way to the Library without getting caught or killed"

We raced through the Waterway, mostly going around in circles or trapping ourselves in this maze of a place. I mean who puts these switches here to move fake walls to trap themselves? Oh well, that doesn't really matter. Most of the time to cheat these mazes, I would use a Watera Spell to make these bubbles to transport the gang and I under the water and to the other side of said wall. I didn't really learn how to master the spell so the bubbles would permanently stay, which isn't bad but for us, but it made some of the Heartless chasing us jobs much easier.

As we finally arrived back to the Base Level, we had quite the Heartless mob after us. "Get in" Yukio alerted us as he opened the door to the cage-like elevator. As the mob started getting closer, we ascended and saw the mob look hopelessly up knowing we got away. From the corner of my eye, I saw Takeshi blowing raspberries at those down below. Yuzuki punched him in the shoulder because, according to her, he was being stupid (which to me is all the time).

"Well we are safe for now but we still have whatever is at the end of this ride..." Yukio said

"... And that." Yuzuki pointed at the red and yellow gummi ship landing in the distance. "They're here."

"I guess we have more things to worry about now" Takeshi said in a more serious tone.

The guys (and Yuzuki) started murmuring their plans, and as I was about to give an idea, from the corner of my eye from below. The blur looked like a large brown and purple object that swiftly appeared and disappeared. I went towards the cage and looked back down to the Base Level. Nothing but the floor was there.

"You see anything?" Mamoru asked me

"Ummmm... I think my eyes are just playing games with me." I responded and I realized that Mamoru hasn't said much lately, "What about you? You don't seem like yourself."

"Its nothing... just stuff."

"Want to talk about it?"

"I don't think there is anything to talk about"

I gave up for a moment as we reached the top of the elevator and miraculously, there were no Heartless in sight. "All the Heartless probably went to go get Sora." I pointed out... "or the blob" I told myself. I noticed that Mamoru started to feel even more tense than in the elevator ride... I had to say something.

I walked next to him and told him, "OK, really whats wrong?"

"I told you I'm fine"

"You and I both know you are lying."

"Fine, I just... I just been thinking..." He said as he took a deep breath, "What if our hearts were taken for a reason? Like as a punishment? What if we find out who we were and we hate it?"

"Don't think like that?"

He started to get angry, "You are just saying that because your heart is a rank 2, you were probably some type of amazing person... Maybe I deserve to be captured or even die by the Keyblade."

"Mamoru... listen"

"I have to go" He said as he turned into a Wyvern, flapped his wings and left.

As I was about to chase after him, Takeshi held me back. "Let him think for a bit"

I started to shed some tears, "But he is going to go kill himself if I don't do anything."

"Trust me" Takeshi said as he started comforting me, "You did what you could do but now he has to decide what he wants."

" But what if the Heartless get him or even worst Sora?" I asked

"I think he is smart enough to get out of that pickle" Takeshi smiled

"But he said..."

"I heard what he said, that is just the anger talking. Its a process, Mitsuko, let him get things straighten out and he will be back better than ever. That's what happened to me when Hades started feeding me the same lies."

I then realized something... Did Hades and Ansem know what we were destined to do? Did they know to point where they knew we would revolt, become friends, and have this discussion? If they know what is destined to happen, is there a way to change that destiny? All these unanswered questions came to my head. We walked inside through the giant door to the Entrance Hall. The room was rather dark but visible enough to see where everything was.

"That is probably the door to th..." I said until I was launched to the wall. My vision started to become blurry but I knew I saw someone come down from the upper level and knew I was stuck on the wall. I looked down and I saw that the two outer prongs went through my arms, attaching them to the wall and the middle prong stabbed through my stomach. I then blanked out.
