Melanie's POV

I was walking and suddenly I tripped and everything went black
Being knocked out gave me a lot of time to think, about bad things. For once All I wanted to do was wake up.
I was thinking I should just tell them
It's getting worse

Don't tell them, they'll leave you

No they won't!

What about Josh? Do you really think he'll want to date a crazy person?

Josh's pov

We carried her all the way to Tyler's house
She was so cold. She looked like something was happening in her mind, I wonder what she was thinking.

While she was sleeping we tended to her cuts.

Luckily ty's mom was a nurse

Melanie was in the main living room lying down on the couch

Tyler went to go get his mother

"Who is she?" His mother asks

"Our friend, Melanie. She tripped and got hurt"

"It looks pretty bad, better get it stitched up"

Tyler's mom goes to clean up the cut before putting in the stitches. Suddenly her facial expression changes.

"What is wrong with her" Tyler asked

"I-I don't know"

Melanie's POV

I feel like I'm having the worst nightmare ever. I feel like my brain has turned to mush.
I feel like someone is sticking there hand down into my head
Is this really happening or is it all in my head
Oh crap
Suddenly I feel something coming up my throat

I wake up coughing. I wasn't just coughing I was coughing blood.

"Oh my god Melanie!!" I hear Tyler say

I'm crying now. Hard.

Josh runs to me and holds me stable

"A-are you okay?" I hear a voice say

"W-who are you?" I ask through my tears

"I'm Tyler's mother, sweetie I think I need to take you to the hospital, I'm worried about something I found"

"No! Please don't take me! I ca-can't go!"
I practically scream

"Honey, I think I need to"

Josh and Tyler look at each other. I know they know I don't want to go, but I can tell they're thinking about it.
I don't miss my chance to get up and run

"Wait Melanie!" Josh yells
I don't want to go but they don't understand
I look back at them, then i run

joshs POV

Melanie had something wrong with her. I wanted to help.
We went searching for her
Well Tyler and his mom gave up after 2 hours but I refuse to give up.
After 4 hours of looking I finally found her in the middle on nowhere
She was passed out on the side of this one road
"Melanie!" I yelled

I went up to her to make sure she was unharmed. She didn't look like she was hurt at all besides her stitches she had from before. I had no idea where I was but I picked her delicate body off the gravel and walked until my legs were aching with pain. I remember that she gave me her address so I tried to find her house. A few hours later if walking I finally found it. I opened the door and to my surprise it was unlocked.
It looked just like a dollhouse

I walked past empty bottles and the smell of marijuana
I walked up the stairs guessing that's where her room would be
I found this room that had Melanie's name all over it.
It was a pastel child aesthetic

I placed her on her bed. And then I found this chair in her room. I didn't want to leave so I sat there all night. I couldn't sleep.

Edit: lol Melanie just didn't want to got to that damn hospital because childhood flashbacks? I never really explained lmao
