<<Melanie's POV>>
Where the hell am I? What happened? Where's Josh?
I have no idea what had happened, it was almost like someone was in control of my body
I really wanted Josh right now, more than ever
I hope he doesn't think I'm dead Oh god what if he thinks I'm dead and, moves on from me? What if he forgets about me and falls in love with someone else? What if I come back to him and see him with the other girl? Would he come back to me? Or have no more feelings whatsoever for me.
I need to get out of here I need to send him messages so he knows I'm still here
I move over to the corner of this dark room I find a light switch on the wall so I turn the lights on
Something about this place seems utterly familiar
Its my house, well, except everything is backwards
What is this place and why am I here?
Suddenly I hear something
"Hello?"
I walk into this room, everything is confusing since it's totally backwards from what I'm used to
It looks like I'm in the kitchen I see empty bottles on the floor I look up to see Josh
"JOSH!!!" I run up to him in excitement
I run up for a hug but instead I go right through him, like I'm a ghost
I see my mom coming
Oh no
"WHERES MY DAUGHTER!?"
"She's gone"
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN? DID YOU KILL HER? I KNEW I SHOULD'VE JUST GOTTEN RID OF YOU LIKE I DID TO HER FATHER!"
I watched as tears were in both mine and Josh's eyes
He looked as if he wanted to yell so hard right now, I couldn't blame him
"I WOULD NEVER KILL HER! I LOVE HER!"
"You really mean it don't you?" "Then why don't you join her in hell!" She says as she pulls out a knife
I quickly run over and try to stop her but since I'm basically just a ghost there's nothing I can do
"NO! JOSHUA!" I yell but no one can hear me
I run up to them and watch my mother pull the knife out of his heart
I'm in pure pain and my eyes begin to swell up as I cry so hard
"MOTHER WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!" I scream at the top of my lungs
All she did was wash the knife of Josh's blood and walk away _____________ If you're confused, all of that happening was in some kind of alternate universe/ upside down. so Josh isn't really dead, Melanie just thinks so. ____________
<<Josh's POV>>
I shot up from my bed as something seemed to be yelling I swore I heard Melanie scream
"Melanie? Are you there?"
I hear a very subtle sound, very quiet
It was definitely Melanie
But where was she?
I searched the room to track where the sound was coming from and it leads to this mirror
I saw a whole other room in the mirror
It looked like Melanie's house but backwards
I see blood on the floor I see a body I look closer into the mirror and realize who the body is
It was me
I see a girl sitting in the corner rolled up in a fetus position crying so hard and shaking so badly
It was Melanie
"Melanie?" I call out again I think she heard me because she turned her head and looked around
"Josh?"
"Yes! It's me! Look through the mirror!"
I see her get up
"But you're dead! My mother killed you!"
"Melanie, that's not me, I'm Josh"
"But how?"
"I'm not sure, just look through the mirror"
"I see myself in the mirror, but I hear you"
Melanie puts her hand on the glass mirror, she doesn't know but my hand is in the same spot as hers
"I love you Josh, but I know you're not real you're dead, give me proof you're Josh and I'll help you"
I'm trying to think of ways and the only thing that comes up to my mind is
"Joshrito" I say aloud
"Huh?" She questioned
"If I was a food, you said I would be a joshrito, and I said you'd be a watermelonie!"
"Oh my gosh, Josh, it really is you, you really aren't dead"
"But how do I get you back in my arms? I don't know how to get back to you, dont forget about me Josh, please"
"I promise with my pinky that I will never forget you, and even if I doubt you, I'm no good without you"
