Melanie's POV

I was starting to feel dizzy
I knew I shouldn't have run
I don't think it was a choice though.

You're so weak. Yet my name is crybaby?

Why should I? I'll soon be your only friend after Josh and Tyler don't want to be friends with someone like....

Josh's POV

I was able to fall asleep for a good 5 minutes
I woke up to Melanie. I got up to check on her. She looked like she was having a terrible nightmare, she looked like she needed to be woke.

"Melanie" I whispered to her as I shook her awake

"Josh?"

"Yeah, it's me"

"What are you doing here?"

"I found you passed out on the side of the road, so I picked you up and took you home."

"Thank you Josh"

She looked at me with the most beautiful eyes. I looked back at her.

I just couldn't help it.
Before I knew our lips were pressed together
It was amazing
Her kiss was sugary sweet

Melanie pulled away
"Josh?" " I think I'm going crazy"

"So what if you are? All the best people are?"

She looked at me and blushed

"Thank you, but really. I can't escape this"

"Do you want to talk about it?"

Melanie POV

I was so prepared
I was about to tell him everything
I started with crybaby

"As a child I was bullied a lot and would cry so much that my vision would be really messed up. Crybaby used to help me get through my fears and tears but then that was my nickname. Everyone at my school called me that and even the teachers. I got so mad and all I could do was cry. Then she went psycho and started ordering me to do things. She now is my own enemy."

"Well my family isn't exactly perfect like everyone thinks we are. My mother is always drinking, she is always drunk. My brother is always high" "constant fights go up in down in my ears causing me massive migraines. I would sit alone in my room and crybaby would talk to me about what I should do. These things she said  were always rather brutal. I would never do the things she told me to.  My dad is a liar, a cheater and still comes home everyday and acts like he loves us. He comes home everyday with a new slut while my mom is passed out on the couch.

I was in tears by this time

Josh's POV

"Melanie it's okay, you can stop if I want to"

"No it hurts just to keep it all inside"

"But may I ask something?"

"Umm sure" I respond to her

"What exactly was Tyler's mom talking about, you know? When she said she thinks something is wrong"

"Well Melanie, when she was stitching your forehead, she found something. She started pulling out all sorts of maggots and worms"

She  was now crying harder than before
I pulled her in closer to me and hugged her

"Josh why are you here? Why do you want me? Why would you want to be with a freak like me that has her brain infested. She wants you to leave, maybe you should"

"Don't listen to her, what matters is what you think. I'm here because I love you"

Melanie's POV
Josh just admitted to loving me

And boy, I think I'm in love with him too

I still don't understand why he would want to stay. But I'm glad he is, really glad actually

"I love you too Josh"

"What time is it?"

"I think it's around 4:00 AM

"I can't sleep, will you stay?"

"Of course"

Me and josh stayed up all morning laughing and talking about everything
I love him more every second
He kisses me again, stronger than before and we end up falling asleep, peacefully.
