Love Is A Dangerous Word

Part 18: Love Never Dies

Lilith stood up with her camera in hand and slowly stepped out the diner. She could hear faint footsteps coming from all four ways of the intersection that was close to the diner. Lilith walked out to the middle of that intersection awaiting what was to come. Emerging from the distance was a large mass of people ranging from 200-300 people. In front was none other than the leader of The Order Society, Leo equipped with a machete. When they reached Lilith all they did was stand there until Leo walked up to her.

"What. A. Coincidence," Leo said to her "We were just looking for you."

"Oh really? Who's we?"

"Well after you killed Greg.."

He was interuppted "That was Hope."

"Oh? We noticed her body on the road not far from here. Was that you?"

"Yeah."

"Brave girl..very brave."

"You have no idea."

"That may be so, however we have more than my group here. We have combined forces with the Legion after Greg died, The Savior's men, those savages combined with Abbigale's raiders is what they call themselves. I sent out a radio broadcast calling out people to come here to find the group that killed their leaders. Turns out you're the only one left."

"Well that's unfortunate."

"Yeah and you know after we came so far to search for you I think it's all in fairness that I kill you for all of them," Leo spoke to the crowd "Would you like to see that?"

The entire crows uproared in agreement then settled down after Leo waved his hands up signalling them to do so.

All Lilith could do was smile and laugh "It's about damn time to. I have travelled a long ways for many reasons. To find somewhere to be safe, to cure this wretched plauge, to keep going no matter who around me parrished. I have seen all my friends die because of all of you and yet I'm the only one still here. For all of you to finally get your vengeance on me is a pleasure because I'll get to be with my friends."

"So it's a win win for all of us. Hey how about you do us a favor and get on your knees."

Lilith did what he said and fell down on her knees, looking up saying "You know out of all of this, I have learned one thing."

"What would that be?"

"No matter who you meet or what you do there will always be someone to depend on when it comes to love. In love we learn to be angry, cry, sing, and even die. When it comes to hate then it's only one thing: being angry with the world. Being human shall we not let hate control our actions, but be grasped in the arms of love to be wanted and comforted. We all have the capacity to both love and hate, it just depends on who you are to which side you take. In the new world being loved is the one thing to keep you going and with hate it can only get you consequences," Lilith smirked "One thing that love has over hate is that love can always be felt and love...will never die."

Leo smiled "Then I guess your life did mean something," Leo swung his machete in the air and at the same time the battery to the camera died. When the machete was to come down it would mean the end to Lilith's life. Bringing her to her family once again, no longer in pain and no longer in danger. She is finally proven that no matter how far you go for the ones you love in life you will always meet them in death. Proving that love will always prevail and love never dies.

Oh by the way....Lilith was a vegetarian.
