Chapetr 19

Alyssa's P.O.V.

Nightmare

"You can run but you can't hide Alyssa!" Cory cackles. I continue running in forest away from him. A tree root decides to disagree with me and I end up falling face first. I turn around on my back and Cory is thrre standing over me. I start to scream like never before but before he can do anything.

"Alyssa love wake! You're  safe! Alyssa please wake up!" Klaus yells. I bolt upright my breath uneven.

"I'm sorry." I mutter as I curl ino the fetal position.

"For what love?"he asks.

"For waking you and your siblings up." I answer.

 "They're probably annoyed with me by now." I state and stare off into space.

"It's not you're fault love you've been through a lot I'm sure they would understand." He assures.

"Can you hold me please?" I ask. "Of course." He takes me in his arms and I just inhale his scent.

"I wish I didn't have to go through this." my voice comes out muffled.

"I know love I know." He says running his hands through my hair.

"I think I might have thought of a way that might help but..." he trails off. "You might not like it." He adds.

"What is it?" I ask looking up at him.

"I've read that sometimes what might help someone get over their demons is to face them."he says.

"So that means?"I ask fearing what he might say.

"That means you'll have to confront Cory and tell him how much he hurt you." He explains. I feel like something has been caught in my throat I try to speak but nothing comes out.

"If you want to I'll be there with you so you won't have to be alone." He suggests. "I...I don't kn-know about that but I-I'm  willing to try." I stutter.

"Are you sure love? Because you don't have to if you don't want to." He assures.

"Yeah I'm  sure." I tell him.

"I need to go take a shower."I  say getting out of his grib. I pick out my outfit and trudge to the bathroom without looking back. When I'm  in the bathroom I lock the door behind me and take off all my clothes. I turn the knobs to my liking and step in. I start to clean myself and tears start to well up in my eyes. Once I'm finished I sit down letting the water run over me. I let the tears fall freely. I sit in there for about a few minutes then I turn off the shower. I get out and dry myself off slowly. I put on deodorant and all that jazz. I put on my last sock and walk out of the bathroom back to my room. When I get there I grab my dry shampoo and conditioner. I stand in front of the mirror and spary the shampoo first and comb my hair I do the same with the conditioner except I don't comb it. I look over my outfit and go to grab my shoes. I fix my hair a bit when I hear a knock on the door.

"Come in." I say. Klaus walks in and looks at me.

"Ready to go?" He asks.

"Ready as I'll  ever be." I answer. I walk towards him and take his hand. We walk down the stairs together. He opens my door for me and closes it then he walks over to his side. He gets in and starts the car up backing out of the driveway. When we finally arrive to my old home I take a few deep breaths before gettiing out. Klaus walks up beside me and places a hand on my lower back. I give him a nod and we walk to the front door together.

"You're going to need to invite me in vampires need to be invited in by the owner." Klaus explains. I lift my hand to knock on the door but somthine stops me in mid air.

"Would you like if I knocked instead?" He asks. I nod my head hes and take my hand away from the door. Klaus knocks on it lightly and stands to the side. Seconds later I'm face to face with Cory. "Look what the cat dragged in an ugly bitch." He spats. I wipe the spit off my face.

 "Came to beg for my forgiveness?" He questions.

"Me ask for your forgiveness? I did nothing wrong." By then my emotions are fuming.

"You did nothing wrong?" He asks incredulously. "You left me and I gave you everything and I loved you but you were such and ungrateful little bitch." He sneers.

"You can't honestly think the things you did to me were out of love. When you love someone you don't hurt them at least not intentionally.You put their needs before your own. None of what you did over the last five years were out of love. You never loved me but Klaus does. He puts my needs before his own he makes sure I'm okay. He tells me he loves me every single day and he makes me feel like I'm on top of the world. Something you never made me feel. And I understand how blind and stupid I was in high school wish I could have seen that sooner." I tell him.  He brings up his hand I close my eyes ready for the impact but it never comes. I open my eyes and see Klaus gripping Cory's wrist.

"You lay a finger on her and you're dead." Klaus growls. "Now hear her out." He orders. I push Cory out the way slightly and walk into the house.

"Oh yeah I amost forgot." I state turning back around. "Klaus come in." I tell him and he walks straight to me gripping my hand gently.

"What is it that you want exactly?" Cory asks rudely. "You were right you didn't mean anything to me. You were just something I liked to toy with. There were other girls who were better and prettier than you." He mocks. That feels like a blow to the stomach.

"So you cheated on me?"I  asked rhetorically. "I gave you everything! And you had the nerve to cheat on me!? I loved you and I never would have done that to you! Never and you want to say I didn't do anything right! Who was there when you didn't have a job!? I was! I helped you look for one until you landed one! I cooked for you and I even let you move in with me! I did everything for you! I supported you!" I screamed. "It's because of you I almost lost my passion for writing and drawing! It's because of you I haven't talked to my parents in five years!" I yell.

"Are you done?" He asked. I'm so furious I don't even register what I'm  doing. I lift my fist and it comes in contact with his nose and I hear a sickening crunch sound.  "You little-" I cut him off before he can finish his sentence.

"I hope you feel horrible about everything you did to me." And I walk away from him and outside on the porch.

Klaus's P.O.V.

I pull Cory up by the collar of his shirt. "You will listen to me and you will listen good. You will tell everyone you know everything you done to Alyssa over the past five years. You will start to hate yourself for what you've done more and more and when you feel like you want to kill yourself for it you won't." He falls to the ground and I walk outside to the porch and close the door behind me."So I make you feel like you're on top of the world?" I joke. Alyssa manages to laugh lightly and I amile because of it.

"Yes of course I love you." She states which warms my heart. "Well, I love you too." I tell her pulling her towards me. "Let's get out of here." I announce grabbing her hand and pulling her to the car. We both get in and we leave here for good this time.  

Alyssa's P.O.V.

"So love you know how you said you want to go to Paris and all that?" Klaus questions. I let out a groan knowing what that meant.

"Tell me you didn't? I don't want you to have to spend all your money on me." I tell him.

"Well I didn't yet anyways. And I have more money then I know what to do with I don't mind spending money on you love I love to spoil you. " he states.

"So just say yes love and we'll be on the first flight to Paris." Klaus urges. I mentally fight myself in my head for a bit before coming up with my answer.

"Okay fine." I say.

"I'll book the flight once we get home." Klaus announces.

"Tu es incroyable." I compliment him.

"So you know French?" He asks with a smile.

"Oui." I reply. "I took it in high school and college." I add.

 "You are such an amazing woman." Klaus says.

"And you are such an amazing man."
