*knock knock*

Mark got up to open the door. He looked at Jack one last time, before exiting the room. He peeked out of the peephole in the door and saw an all too familiar face.

The boss.

He opened the door.

His boss looked at him, disappointed.

"They're onto us. The feds. And if you don't get your shit together, your little happy ending fairytale crap will be gone. We've been watching you. Did you really think you could hide from your job?"

Mark felt like he was sinking in quick sand.

"Why are you doing this. I just want my life back..." Mark said wearily.

"Look Cinderella, the ball is over. Now were calling you back to your job. You wanna live a happy life? Be out her in 5 minutes and finish what you started. 5 minutes. Or we kill your little fairytale."

Mark slammed the door. Jack walked out and saw Mark's face tainted with worry.

"Mark, what's wrong with ya?"

Mark didn't know how to answer at first. How do you tell the love of your life that you have to walk out on them.

"I have to go... I don't know when I'll be back..."

Mark started crying. And Jack ran over to him and held him. Jack didn't ask why, assuming the answer was gonna be complicated. Mark, knowing this could very well be the last time he saw Jack, used his last 3 minutes well.

He pressed Jack up against the wall, and kissed him hard. Jack yelped and yearned for more. They kissed for what seemed like an eternity, until they were both out of breath. And then Mark heard knocks.

"... That's my ride..."

Jack could barely say goodbye. He witnessed the only man he could love walk out the door.

The door closed.
