Jin POV
"Jin-Hyung~!" I heard Jungkook call. "Kookie~!" I called back. I heard him laugh behind me as I stirred a pot of noodles. "I need help going to get the mail, please," Jungkook said. I raised an eyebrow. "Can't you do it by yourself?" I asked, confused as to why he needed help when we get our mail dropped at our dorm door. Jungkook shook his head.
"No, there was a really big package outside of our dorm and I need help carrying it in," He said. I hummed in confusion, putting down the spoon I was using to stir the noddles onto the counter and turning to Jungkook. "Alright then." I didn't remember ordering anything, so this was a bit unusual. Maybe it was some sort of gift from the company? Jungkook opened the door and I was greeted by a bland brown box outside of our dorm. "Odd..." I thought to myself as I began to lift the box. "Jeon Jungkook, how did you need help with this!? The box is so light!" Jungkook pouted. "I know.. But I didn't lift it beforehand and it seemed to be a very big box so I-" I cut him off. "Yah, yah, calm down... Let's just take this inside."
Jungkook nodded gratefully and kept the door open for me, shutting it behind afterwards. "Children!" I yelled playfully. "There's a package for us!" Taehyung and Jimin then immediately came rushing down, most likely racing to see who could get to where I was faster. Taehyung who came first, snatched the box out of my hand, shaking it while putting it up to his ear. "Is it a present?! What is it Hyung!? Tell us, tell us!" Taehyung exclaimed, obviously hyper. Or maybe just high off of cough syrup (he had been sick for the past few days). I rolled my eyes and the rest of the boys came down, taking the box from Taehyung and setting it on the floor.
"Who is it from?" Namjoon asked. I went blank for a few seconds before looking down at the box. No return address, no note written, no nothing. "Uh... It doesn't say..." Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "That seems kinds sketchy..." He said, earning a "yeah" in agreement from Hoseok. "Well... Whatever it is, I just wanna open it!" Taehyung said, ripping into it afterwards without and notification.
And oh...
We were not ready for what was inside.
A little girl, skinnier than what seemed to be 15 some odd kilos, and around maybe five or six. But she was real skinny, so maybe older. But she had been stuffed into a box with a stuffed animal, and a small baby blanket.
I heard Suga let out a sigh, mumbling profanities from most likely not knowing what to do. "Language, Yoongi," I scolded, my eyes still glued onto the girl. "Sorry," he mumbled back. Hobi was the first to finally kneel down next to the girl and look at her. She had beautiful pale skin, but it almost looked sickly pale.. She also had a very small face, and beautiful long deep brown hair. I couldn't see her eyes, but they seemed to be like Jungkook's. Large, and round-ish. She also had pale and small lips.
Hoseok grinned brightly before gently picking the girl up so he could see her face better. "It's a box of cuteness~!" Hobi squealed. I quickly shushed him, but apparently not fast enough as the girl began to stir. I immediately grabbed her from him and began to try to comfort her, holding her close and swaying lightly. "Mommy Jin is out and ready to care..." Jimin mumbles. I glare at him and he looks away, uncomfortable. I then turn my attention back to the sleeping girl. I don't know why my younger friends always say I'm the mother of the group, I'm nothing like a mother!
I noticed Jungkook was looking at her in awe. "What?" I whispered, wondering what had the brown-haired boy so interested In her. "She's... So small..." He mumbled. I nodded, actually slightly worried. This girl looked like she had been starved... "I know..." I then saw Namjoon's eyes widen from the corner of my eye. "J-Jin-Hyung...!" I looked up from the girl to meet his eyes. He looked terrified. "H-her back...!" I grew more worried as I slowly looked over at the back of her pink, torn dress. Bruises. "Oh my gosh..." I mumbled to myself. "Do you think...?" Namjoon started, not bothering to finish his sentence considering we all knew what he was assuming. But this poor girl...
Why would someone want to harm her? She seems like such a precious child..! I stopped swaying as I looked back at her face. Her head was resting on my shoulder and her face was almost buried into my neck, so I couldn't see her too well but I could still see her eyes twitching. Yoongi had begun discussing what to do with me but I shushed him and started walking to the couch. I sat down with her in my lap, cradling her and began to comb her hair gently to help her wake up... But she immediately started crying as soon as her eyes opened and looked around frantically. "Daddy, don't hurt me! I don't wanna be punished again! I was only a few minutes late!" She yelled. I rocked her back and fourth lightly in my lap and laid her head under mine. "Shh... Your Father isn't here, sweetie. You're safe, it's okay..." But she didn't stop crying. I continued to rock her and began rubbing her back. But then before I knew it, Hoseok had stopped in front of us and was kneeling down in front of her and had grabbed her hand. She flinched at the touch and tried to scoot away, but Hoseok just smiled and started talking. "Hey, it's okay! I'm J-Hope, and guess what?" She sniffed and mumbled a small-"what?", as Hoseok continued. "That means I'm your hope! Cause' it's my name!" She giggled slightly and sniffed, making me smile. "Right!" I began, catching her attention while Hoseok still had her hand and was swaying with it. "And I'm Jin," Hoseok then oh so quietly leaned over and said-"he's like an overly attached caring mom," and snickered. I scoffed and shook my head. "Stop it! Don't be so rude in front of her." I then turned over to Jimin and Jungkook as I also tuned out Hobi's snickering. "And then this is Jimin," I said, pointing to the Pink-haired boy. "And that's Jungkook, but he likes to be called Kookie," Jungkook shyly waved as the little girl almost mirrored his movements perfectly. Namjoon snickered. "They're almost like mirror images. Just a young girl and a grown boy." She then looked o we at him curiously, studying him and almost making it look like she was making him feel uncomfortable. "A-ah.. I-I'm Namjoon." He said, giving her a closed eye smile. The couch then... Moved in an odd way... And then I saw Tae sliding down from the back of the couch onto the front. "And I'm called V." He paused staring at her. But then yelled, "V FOR VICTORy!" She clung onto me as I began scolding him for being so impolite.
This was going to be so much fun.
I went to a comic con cosplaying as a trash can. When I met up with my friends they asked me where my costume was.
