AMANDA'S POV
I opened my eyes. I was wearing a long shirt, fuzzy socks, and the smell of shampoo filled my pillow. THe bed I was on was so comfortable. It was not like the one I had at my old place. The pillow was fluffy and like a cloud it was white. Zeff lived in a two story apartment like place...I think that is what they called it. I got up and looked around the empty room but filled with the smell of something sweet like honey. I followed the scent downstairs into the kitchen which was much more advanced than it was in my place.
"What's that?" I ask as he sets a bunch of bread on the table.
"Toast. Eat." He says. "I gotta head out soon."
I sit down and pick up a toast, chewing on it hungrily. He looks at the clock, rushes to the fridge to pick up a cold water bottle, runs to the couch to pick up his backpack, upstairs and comes back down with a book in his hand.
"Where are you going?!" I ask loudly as he runs around the house.
"School!" He yells back. "I'll be back later! Don't go anywhere."
"Can I go too?!" I ask but there was silence he probably left already. I sigh and continue to eat as the door opens and he comes back running in. He runs to the stairs and slides on his socks. He runs up and down with keys and his phone in his hand.
"Can't forget my babies." He says and winks at me. "See you."
"Bye." I say.
After eating, I looked around the house and checked out the room with a bunch of bars. This was the amazing room the humans called a gym! In the books the gym was bigger but this gym seemed for only a few people. I touched a bar and tried to lift it as my muscles felt weak although I was supposed to be an Edmin.
ZEFF'S POV
"Zeff! Party tonight!" Someone yells at me in the hallway. I turn to see a friend as he puts his arm over my shoulder. "You coming?"
"Don't know." I think of Maddy. "I've got a lot on my hands right now."
"Think Jenna's going. Maybe she can add you to her suck off list." He says and laughs, running away. "See you there!"
"Never said I was going!" I yell back at him. I shake my head and open my locker. I shove all my books into the locker as a girl named Elena comes up next to me.
"Hey Zeff." She says with a smile. "What you doing tonight?"
"Don't know yet." I say. "Not being with you for sure."
"Come on, don't be so cold." She says and wraps her arm around my arm, rubbing her nonexistent boobs on my arm. "I got something I want to give you tonight. You heard about party right? You better be there."
"Maybe." I say, still thinking about Maddy. I look at Elena's eyes and compare them to Maddy's. I smile as I think that Maddy had much more beautiful eyes than her.
Elena smiled back at me and kissed my cheek.
"Woah, stop right there children." my friend Riley says as he separates us. "Sorry, my innocent eyes can't see that."
"I just kissed his cheek." Elena rolls her eyes. "What do you want Riley? Can't you tell we're having a moment?"
"Elena, come to me." Riley says , jokingly. she laughs as he comes onto her right next to my locker. His hands hold her waist and they begin to make out next to my locker.
