Once alone I lied on the bed. The blue tissue was soft against my skin and I considered staying like that until Charles came back but I really needed to wash myself and to change into more comfortable clothes. I was wearing a strange light blue blouse and Charles had got me slippers so I would not be barefoot during our little walk.

I entered my bathroom and relaxed in the simple room white and shades of blue. I took a fast shower and wrapped myself in a big azure towel. I found a black legging and a very large brown shirt into the closet. The later could pass as a tunique. Then I put dark grey tennis on.

I contemplated sleeping for a while but I knew I would just think too much if I lied down. So I played with my interphone until Charles face appeared.

— I didn't though you would contact me so soon. Did you miss me that much?

I rolled my eyes and smiled. I liked the way Charles made me forgot my black thoughts.

— Get your ass over here. Dalilah told me about this proof-vampire gym. I want to try this new body of mine.

— Hey! You could at least said you missed me a little bit.

A few minutes later we were in this big room with mattress and machines everywhere. Erik and Jessie were sparring together.

I couldn't help but being impressed by their movements. Yet I found myself thinking they were really slow.

— Camille. Charles.

Erik greeted them with a half-smile. Jessie just nodded his head.

— So my dear, you want to try some exercise to see how much extra strength you got. We could start with that.

Charles pointed to a weight lifter machine.

— Shouldn't we warm up before?

He scoffed.

— Please, we are not as fragile as these two.

— I heard you Charles, called Jessie.

— Well did you use this when you were human?

— Not much.

— Do you remember what your limit was? So we can compare.

— No sorry.

— It's okay.

After some machines and me going further than all records registered in human books, Charles moved to the open space so we could spare.

Charles instructed me to try to touch him. About twenty minutes later of this tag game I was dead tired but still unable to even get one finger in contact with my mentor.

— Camille you're really bad at that. It's pitiful.

I groaned, unhappy with my public.

— Shut up Jessie!

I tried to grasp Charle's hand and failed again, loosed my balance and ended on the floor.

— I'm done Charles! I have enough of this tag game. You are too fast for me.

He scoffed.

— Of course I am. I'm faster than anyone in the complex.

Jessie laughed.

— And she is the slowest one.

I mumbled

— I'll kick your ass whenever you want boy.

— That's not such a bad idea, said my mentor.

— Oh come on, you want me, a highly trained and skillful hunter to fight with this newborn?

Erik shot him a pointed look.

— I think Charles is right. She is tired.

— Exactly, she is... Wait minute man, you said Charles is right?

— Yes. She probably won't break your bones now. Maybe.

— I see that trust reigns here, partner! Get up Camille. I need to show you how a real fight is done.

I wanted to introduce more of Jessie cockiness and how Erick is sometimes more down to earth than his partner. Charles get along with everyone in the facility but he is happy that another vampire is with them now.

I love writing the relation between them and Camille.
