I'm sure, whenever (y/n) and I are in the same room, it's nothing but warmth and laughter. She keeps me sane, calm and happy.
Valentine's Day is known for the love and affection shown between a couple. But I feel that everyday should be that way. (Y/n) and I have decided on no gifts today.. which is probably best as she's surprisingly difficult to shop for.
And recently, the wedding has been the hot topic of conversation.
We've settled on a Winter Wonderland themed wedding in December, just before Christmas. The honeymoon will then contradict, as we're spending two weeks in blazing Australia. Purely her ideas; I was in love with anything she proposed. Lucky I did that first..
"Jaaack..." (y/n) called up the stairs. I was sat on my computer, trying to find some games on steam.
"Yes m'love?" I moved to the doorway to make the conversation more audible for the both of us.
"Come here?"
I sighed but I knew I wanted to see my beauty. I quickly skipped down the flights of stairs and through the hall, to the kitchen.
"What's this?" I admired the dining table dotted with plates of different breakfast foods.
"Breakfast. We haven't had an actual, together meal for a while and nows the time." She blushed, unsure if I'd agree.
"You're the best."
I sat across from (y/n) with an empty plate. I dug into the buffet first, taking different fruits and some pancakes for myself. (Y/n) copied with similar foods, to her own amount.
I couldn't help but smile at her. And she was so oblivious to my gaze. But I started to feel slightly guilty by the efforts she'd put in. I know we'd said no gifts but I could've tried at least this.
"I'm sorry." I put my coffee cup down.
"Hey what for?" She almost choked.
"Well, we said no gifts and you've done all this. I didn't even try."
"Fuck Valentines is today? I didn't even know." Caught off guard, (y/n) giggled at herself.
I went back to my phone beside me and past a video of a laughing baby.
"Look at this, babe." I held my phone across the table. As soon as (y/n) saw the screen, her eyes lit up.
"What a cutie! I want one." She sighed.
I was taken back by that but agreed nonetheless.
"Me too.."
We spent a while in a lasting eye contact. We knew what we wanted in time, and when.
"We should talk.." (Y/n) started.
