Chapter 5

I was sitting here thinking. Thinking about Jay. Thinking about, how when he came in these doors, I was gonna say YES. Why? Because I love him!

I hear the lock jiggle, just in time. He steps through the door and looks at me.

I look directly in his eye. He was gleeful.

"Yes." I say lustfully.

"Huh?" he replies unsure of what I was talking about.

"Yes. I will be your wife Jay."

He just looks at me. Then he comes over & deeply hugs me.

We are finally together. For life.

We kiss, deeply at that.

Then, I start losing my breath. I get light headed; my stomach starts turning. It feels as though someone is tearing out my spine. Them, I'm out.

*A day later.*

I awake. I awake from a dream.

In my dream, it was me and Jay. And our daughter.

I look around, unsure about my surroundings, but sure that I am in a hospital.

I turn my head and see Jay. He has a baby in his hand. Who's?

He looks up and sees me. The hugest grin grows across his face.

"You're awake." he says.

"Yeah. Who's kid?" I say, a puzzled look I'm sure is across my face.

"Ours." he says. His smile was so sincere.

At that instant, the doctor comes in.

"Ah. I knew I heard more than one voice! Ms.Mathews. Congrats on the baby. Its a girl! Isn't that great!"

Jay hands me the baby. I look in its eyes & see then that its not his. I see Yu already. His evil glare, already has taken place in his pupils, but love and passion are there also. She's beautiful.

"Jay, give us some time.... Please." I say weakly.

He leaves. No questions or debates.

The doctor starts back talking.

"The baby is exactly nine months. A little over to be exact. But, we need a name. We can give you time.. Or-"

I cut her off. "Ona. Onastasia Car'tai Wright."

"Thank you. We'll bring the papers in later." she said with a smile before leaving.

Jay came back in.

I decided to be real with him from the jump. I don't want no flimsy shit here, not in this marriage.

"Jay.. She's not yours." I say.

"I know." he says. "But, ima raise her like she is."
