Is the state ready to proceed with it's opening statement?

Yes, your honor we are, said district attorney Calvin Conan as he turned and looked at the defendant Jermaine Smith better known to the world as Snoop.

He couldn't help the smile that spread across his face as he looked at the nutorios Snoop himself sitting across from him pleading for his life

Conan had been waiting for this moment the entire time of his short career, to be the one to send the infamous drug lord himself off to prison for the rest of his miserable life

So many others have tried and never succeeded but here he was with the piece of shit at his feet.

Snoop always managed to escape serving any time, the informants  always magically came up missing or the police made some type of error where the case had to be thrown out.

But not now I have this son of a bitch good thought Conan as he stood up and made his way to the jurors box

Ladies and gentlemen thank you all for being here, I am district attorney Calvin Conan. I know some of you may deem my gratitude unwarranted, because I am sure if you didn't have to be here you wouldn't.

I know we all are God fearing people and those of you who aren't wouldn't be here if you didn't recognize the law and you certainly wouldn't be sitting here if you didn't know the difference between right and wrong

And ladies and gentlemen wrong is sitting right Across the room from you all, wrong has been selling drugs and murdering people in our community for far too long the uncivilized monster behind everyone misery and fright is in this court room and with your help we can get this animal off of our street so that it can be safe again for your children and grandchildren even the elderly that loves to sit on the front porch

Just pretend like you taking notes, don't let the jurors see you upset Joseph said as he finished watching Conan opening statement

Snoop glanced behind and smiled, he knew his family was going to be there even though he told them to stay away he didn't want them to see him like that.

Seeing the only pouting face he was looking for made his heart tug in different directions and start to break in millions of pieces

Reign was trying her hardest to keep it together for her fiance she smiled small before blowing him a kiss

Pay attention Joseph said tapping snoops leg

He turned around in his chair and focused back on what the attorney was saying

After Conan finished his opening statement Joseph stood up and made his way to the jurors box

Ladies and gentlemen before you all make your minds up on my client from the things district attorney Conan has said let's take the time to get to know the innocent man he's trying to lock away.

My client Jermaine Smith is nothing of a vicious thug or monster, Jermaine is a hard working young man and also a loving Father, son and brother. My client works hard to provide for his family and is a God fearing man just trying to make it everyday in this world

I would like a fair trial so you can really get to know all of the details before you decide on this innocent civilians life

You want a new trail, we've already got evidence Conan blurted out

Watch your outbursts Conan this is the only warning Judge Harris said

I'm requesting a new trail date be set your honor Jermaine said

Trail granted, Trail is to begin again Next Tuesday 9 a.m. Court is adjourned Judge Harris said banging his gavel

I'm gonna get you out of here bro just keep focused and don't fuck up and open that smart ass mouth Joseph said lowly to snoop

Snoop nodded his head and took one last glance behind him

Take care of my fiance and children JoJo I'll lose my mind and kill everyone if anything happens to them Snoop said

I got them don't worry, I'll have you out of here in no time don't sweat it, just do this little sit down time you can call it a vacation Joseph said

Snoop nodded his head as officers walked over to collect him up

I'll come visit you tomorrow morning Joseph said
