Did you get us something to eat rei I'm hungry Ashley asked

We're going to get something I said looking down at her

You have money can you buy me M&Ms she asked with wide eyes

I don't have alot of money but I'll try I said

Do you think mommy will come back for us

Ash stop asking so many questions ok, I'm here and that's all that matters momma will come around soon I said

We walked in the corner store by our house and I grabbed two 50 cent juices and 2 slices of pizza for us and a bag of M&Ms for her.

Nisha had given me her last Five dollars and I was happy about it because Ashley was going to have to eat something tonight

Once I paid for our stuff I grabbed Ashley hand and walked out of the store

When we got out front it was a group of boys walking in being loud

Yo Lil ma wassup One of the boys said

I ignored him and kept walking pulling ash right along with me

You to good to talk to me girl you know you wanna fuck with a Nigga the boy said grabbing my arm

I yanked my arm out of his grip and looked at him

Do not fucking touch me I snapped

I looked in the direction the voice was coming from and seen Nick and his friend

I was just tryna talk to her as all the boy said when Nick walked up

She good get the fuck on Nick said

The boy looked at me then back at nick and put his hands up

My bad yo I ain't know he said walking backwards

Nick nodded watching him walk off

You cool?

Yeah thanks I said

No problem, you should really be careful around here ma what you doing over here he asked

I stay around the block I said

Really? you want us to drop y'all off he asked

No thank you it's really like right around the corner thank you tho I said pulling Ashley arm again

He nodded and walked back towards his car.

When we made it home there was a car parked in our driveway

Stay behind me until we get in my room ok I said looking at Ashley

She nodded her head and grabbed the back of my shirt tight

I walked slow making sure she could keep up with me and walked in the house

My mother was on the couch with some man I've never seen before

Ashley come here meet your father My mother said

I looked back at ash who's eyes had gotten big with excitement

Come here baby she said again

I grabbed Ashley shirt when she started to walk away from me

She has to eat and get ready to do her homework I said not taking my eyes off her and the man on the couch

Reign don't be a bitch let my daughter go my mother said

I shook my head and pulled Ashley along with me

My mother stood up and walked over to us yanking Ashley away from me

Don't fucking play with me girl I'm still your mother and I will beat your ass She snapped

I looked at Ashley then stood to the side as my mother walked her to the couch

This lady has been gone for 2 fucking weeks then she shows up with some random ass man talking about he's ash daddy.

After a while I walked in my room leaving my room door open so I could see them, I didn't trust my mother and I damn sure didn't trust her 'baby daddy'

After I got my bed set up I walked back in the living room and looked at my mother trying to pretend to be a mother

Come on ash it's time to eat I said

Rei my daddy said he's taking me out to dinner with mommy Ashley said

I looked at her then the man and shook my head

Ok Ashley have fun and be safe I said turning to walk back in my room

You can come to Rei my mother said

No thank you I have homework I lied

Ok well maybe next time the man said

I nodded my head and walked in my room closing the door behind myself

I'm mad I don't have any minutes on my phone I really need to invest in a phone, the job I had at the grocery store wasn't getting me any real money I only worked a few days out of the week because of my age so I never really had any money and the money I did have I had to spend on Ashley when my mother didn't steal it.

I laid back on my bed and started eating the pizza I'd just save her juice and M&Ms for her for tomorrow morning.

After I finished eating I walked out of my room and into the living room to watch the only tv my mother couldn't pawn off, I wasn't going to sleep until my little sister returned back home.

A few hours later the door opened up and my mother came walking in with that man who was carrying Ashley

I stood up and grabbed her from him taking her in my room and locking the door before laying in bed next to her.

There was no way in hell I was about to let her sleep in her room when my mother was here with her 'dad' I don't trust neither of them.
