I just knew I had to get out of the salon before he tried to call Kristoffer. So I sprinted as fast as I can, but not before sending a quick text to Kristoffer, apologizing for leaving him. He'll understand, he owes me like 2 sodas.
I found myself sitting at the parking lot, after realizing that it was Kristoffer's car who brought us here so why the hell did I came in the parking lot anyways.
I checked my phone and saw 8 new notifications. They were all from Kristoffer.

I sighed. I decided not to reply, since I know he'll just bombard me with a bunch of questions I didn't feel like answering.
"Kagagahan mo, Maine." I muttered to myself.
I decided to call it a day and booked an Uber. The two hour ride gave me a lot of time to think about what just happened and to judge Kuya Driver's choice of music. He really loves Celine Dion.
"Um, Kuya? Pwede po bang pakihinaan nalang po yung music?"
"Ay sorry po ma'am, tapusin lang po natin chorus. Hehe."
After that eventful car ride, I finally arrived at my condo and made a beeline to the shower to scrub of a day's worth of embarassment and failures.
I was about to prepare my speech for winning an Oscar when suddenly the music suddenly stopped, and was replaced by the sound of someone calling. Guess my speech will have to wait.
I hastily got out of the shower and wrapped myself in my fluffy yellow towel, with beads of water still dripping from my body and leaving a puddle of my footsteps.
"Hello?"
"Dei! Are you home?"
"Why, gonna take me to one of your misadventures na naman?"
"Look, Maine, I'm sorry. I really thought this will go through accordingly."
"Well you thought wrong, Kristoffer."
"Sorry na, please? Gelato tayo this weekend?"
"You're not gonna bribe m—"
"Treat ko."
"I guess I'm free."
"Tignan mo sa libre ang bilis bilis. Buti di alam ni RJ na daig mo pa gorilla."
"Gago."
