0.1 - Fourth Block

Millie Bobby Brown's Point of View:

"Are you excited for song share again today Millie?" Sadie asks me while going over her song lyrics.

"I-I mean yeah sure, I guess. I don't know." I stutter while looking over my lyrics as well.

"Liar. You just don't want to admit you're nervous to have Finn hear you for the first time, solo anyways." She says nudging my shoulder. As much as I wanted to deny it, it was the total truth. He's heard my voice in duets and trios but never a solo and I was slightly petrified. I go over my lyrics one last time before heading into the choir room.

"🎵I'm sorry if I seem uninterested, or I'm not listening, or I'm indifferent, but truly, I ain't...🎵" I sing in my head repeatedly. Once I calm my nerves a little bit more I walk inside and make complete eye contact with Finn. I blush and look down at my feet and he blushes and waves. I take my new seat which is slightly closer to Finn. He apparently did the same because he was only three seats away from me. 

"Ms. Brown, are you prepared to present?" Mrs. Moore asks me while I feel everyone's eyes on the back of my head. I stand up and walk up to the front. I look at Sadie and breathe and then absentmindedly to Finn.

"You got this, you'll do great." He mouths to me. I smile and start to sing the words to "Here" by Alessia Cara. I look mostly at Sadie and our friends Ashlynn and Maddy but I look at Finn when I'm almost finished and his jaw is dropped and he's ready to stand up and clap, which makes me smile and finish the song as strong as ever with an eight beat note carry. Once I end the note and finish the song Sadie, Maddy, Ashlynn, stands up after Finn is up on his feet clapping and whistling. We make eye contact again and he sneakily winks at me.

"I told you that you'd do great." He mouths as I start to retake my seat.

"Mr. Wolfhard, ready?" Mrs. Moore asks looking at him while my jaw hits the floor. I thought it was only Sadie, Brooke, and I going today. But hey, I'm okay with hearing his voice. He walks up and I smile giving him two thumbs up.

"You got this." I mouth. Sadie hits my arm and looks at Finn then back at me.

"Is there something you aren't telling me?!" She says in my ear.

"No, not yet anyways," I reply with a smirk.

"I heard the Brown." Finn giggles walking past me. I shift myself down in my seat in embarrassment. He begins to sing a song in which I don't recognize. I sit up and listen attentively trying to figure out the song. 

"🎵If the whole world was watching, I'd still dance with you, drive highways and byways, to be there with you, over and over the only truth, everything comes back to you🎵" He sings softly while glancing at me. I realize the song title and start to almost silently sing along to "This Town" by Niall Horan. Once he finishes I'm the first, and only one on my feet clapping. Everyone just sits and claps besides Sadie and Ashlynn after they realize what I'm doing. I snicker and sit back down and Finn walks back to his seat with a smile plastered across his perfect face. After that, I don't remember much of the class period.

*ringgg*

Sadie, Maddy, and Ashlynn all have the next period together and have to sprint to class since it's across campus so I'm left by myself. I start to walk to my fifth block class and feel an arm around my shoulders.

"Wonderful job Ms. Brown," Finn smirks.

"An exquisite job to you too Mr. Wolfhard." I giggle.

"Hey, I'll text you later okay. I gotta go." He says running to class.

"Bye Finn!" I shout. I continue to walk until I'm to my class. I see Finn in the hall with Caleb and smile at him, while he didn't notice, I walk inside the room.
