~~ Feel free to listen to the song on the top. It's called "A Little Too Much" by Shawn Mendes (who has the voice of an angel by the way). ~~

**Tessa's POV**

The next morning.....

My dad is going to absolutely beat the crap out of me.

I'll just leave it at that.

I'd stayed the night at Jacob's place and we are now on our way to school.

"How're you doing this morning, Tess?" Jacob asks me.

"Better. Thanks for letting me sleep over last night though." I reply.

"Oh it's no problem at all. You know you can stay over whenever you want."

"Yeah, thanks."

"So what are you gonna do when you get home?"

"I'll just have to stand there and take it as it comes."

"Tess...I don't want to just sit here and do nothing about this." He says to me.

"I know, but keep your phone with you. I might need somewhere to stay tonight as well." I tell him.

"Okay." He nods.

We soon pull up into the school carpark where we get out and go our separate ways for the day.

When I get to my locker and start organising my books for the day, Mason decides to show up.

Try and ignore him this time, Tess.

"Hey, Tess." He greets me.

Don't even look at him.

"Tess? Tessie?"

Just block him out, Tess.

"Why aren't you talking to me?"

I slam my locker door shut.

"What'd I do wrong last night?"

Ugh! Is he ever going to leave me alone?

"Tess, this is ridiculous. Talk to me."

I start walking off towards the bleachers on the football field, but Mason still follows me.

When I finally reach my destination, I turn towards him. "You can stop pestering me now. I went out with you, why can't you just leave me alone now?" I demand.

"Maybe because I don't want to leave you alone." He smirks.

"Well I hate to burst your bubble, but I already have a boyfriend."

"You call that guy a boyfriend?"

"Yes! And if anything, he's much more nicer than you."

"Nice isn't my thing, Tessie."

"Then what is your thing, Mason?" I question him.

"Look, I just want to know why you're trying to avoid me. Did I do something wrong last night?" He asks me.

I let out a sigh and sit down on the bleachers. "No. You didn't do anything wrong. It was all me."

"What are you talking about, Tessie? Is this about those bruises I saw?"

"No...look, just don't bring that up, okay?"

"Why? You can tell me. It's not like I'm gonna tell anyone, if that's what your afraid of. Plus, we've known each other for years. Why can't you tell me about this?"
