Chapter 2: Death

As I walked towards the Empire State Building, I remembered when Issac first came.

Flashback
I was strolling on Half-Blood Hill, when Issac came tearing up the Hill with old Beef Head chasing after him. Of course, I couldn't stand there and let that happen. Easily I took down Beef Head, then the boy snatched my sword from me just as Chiron came up the Hill and start proclaiming I did nothing and just stood there. Chiron, who knew me better than anyone else, except for the Seven, knew he was lying, but with a shake of my head I told him to let it go.

Over the next few weeks everyone became colder and colder towards me. First it was Katie Gardener, a Daughter of Dementer. She accused me of destroying her flowers. Next were the Stoll twins, who blamed me for ratting then out to Chiron. I didn't understand what they were talking about. More and more campers became colder towards me. However, Athena soon contacted me, saying that I was to go on a quest for her to prove that I was worthy to marry her, and I was to tell no one. Agreeing immediately, I left for the quest the next day.

When I came back...well you know what I saw...

I was broken out of my musings when I saw that I was at my mother's apartment. Inside, I found both of them dead, and a note from Issac;

I screamed in rage and misery, unleashing a huge hurricane into the sea of monsters, where it stayed for a month.
I quickly wiped my tears and ran towards the Empire State Building. Quickly snatching the card from the security guard I boarded the elevator. I walked out towards the throne room. Inside, I found all 12 Olympian gods. When I entered, all looked at me. Immediately I was enveloped in a hug by Athena, who kept whispering sorry. The other gods looked shocked that Athena was hugging the son of her rival. Hestia hugged me as well. Then to everyone's surprise, Hera teleported down and hugged me. "Lord Zues," I said respectfully. "I come with a wish." Zues nodded. "Speak, Twice savior of Olympus, what is your wish?"

"I wish for death."

With those four words, the throne room explodes into chaos. Poseidon looked grief-stricken, Athena looked guilty that her daughter could cause the Savior of Olympus to wish for death. "No." Zues said firmly. Percy looks up, shocked. "I-I thought you would like one of your brother's child dead?" Percy asks. Zues sighs. "I do not. I have grown fond of you over these years, and I have repented. I realized my mistakes and I wish to change." The other gods look at Zues in shock. "I do not want to kill you Percy Jackson. You have saved our...what was the word? Asses? You have saved our asses too many times. To grant you death would be rewarding you dishonorably." Zues said. Dionysus chuckles at Zues' use of "asses". "I plan to make you a god." Zues said. Percy just shook his head. "Please...no...just let me die. Let me see the those that were lost because of me." He pleaded. "My reply is final...I will not kill you, but I am willing to make you a god. You have one hour to think about this." Percy walks out of the throne room, lost in thought. He didn't notice that he neared the edge of Olympus. From there, he sees everything. He looks straight down. Few thousand feet drop. He would die. He takes one step towards the edge. Is this it? He thinks. Goodbye everyone. He thinks to the world. The gods stiffened. They heard his parting words and quickly flashed near him. "Percy no!" Poseidon shouted. Percy turns quickly. Too quickly. He was unbalanced and fell off. The gods rushed to the edge. He was below the edge by a few meters. The gods look down on him. "I just have a few wishes." Percy struggled out. The gods nodded. "Firstly, I wish for Hestia and Hades to be reinstated as Olympians, and that every god, major or minor, be recognized at the camps. No more repeats of Luke again. Secondly, all of you, those who aren't married, or have maiden vows, try to find one that you can love. Aphrodite, try to love Hephaestus. I'm not asking you force yourself, but try. Last of all, take care of everyone else. Thalia, Nico, the seven. Take care of them all. Goodbye." With those words he let go to the screams of the gods.

Percy fell at a fast speed. He could see the Olympians faces from where he was. He smiled and waved. This was it. He was going to see his parents again. Charles, Selina, Luke. He would see them all again. He closed his eyes. Then he felt himself hitting something hard and it went black.

The gods could only watch as Percy fell. He waved at them and closed his eyes. Suddenly a ship flew under him. It was modeled like those science fiction types. Percy landed on it and fainted from the impact. A young female pulled him into the ship and the ship disappeared.
