I open my eyes to find Mike gone. Stretching like a cat, I sit up and hop out of the truck. There's a note attached to the window with my name on it.

“Iris;” is sprawled across the front in messy hand writing.

“I went to go get some food, I'll be back in about an hour. Xox Mike.”

I sigh and climb into the front seat of the truck. The radio is still on and the keys are in the ignition. Of course Mike would leave the keys in here. I pull them out and drive them into my front pocket. As I reach for the door, an ear piercing scream fills the air and I jump out of the truck into Mike's arms.

“Mike, you scared me,” I try to catch my balance.

“Sorry, I was scaring the crows away,” he gives me a smirk and kisses my cheek walking towards the cliff. He sits in the grass and pulls a medium sized bag out of his coat.

“What's that?”

“A bag of food,” he smiles at himself and opens the bag throwing a loaf of bread, some granola bars, and an empty water bottle onto the ground. “I wanted to save the money I have so it lasts long so I didn't get much. Also, make it last because the store is about a mile away and I don't want to be running back and forth.”

I nod my head and sit next to him. Grabbing the loaf of bread, I tear open the top of the bag and break off a piece and stuff it into my mouth, gnawing on it fiercely.

“Hungry?” Mike chuckles and puts a piece of bread in his mouth.

“Uh- no,” my face flushes a bright red.

“You're cute when you blush.”

“What?” I look at him waiting to see if I heard him right.

“You're cute. When you blush.”

“Uh thanks,” I smile my face getting redder. He looks at me and smiles wiping his hands off and leaning over to me kissing my cheek.

“Mike!”

“It was an act of kindness, calm down.”

I open my mouth to speak but I get cut off by my phone ringing.

“Hello?”

“Iris! Where are you?! I've been so worried!”

“Vic, oh my God. Please understand this,” I look at Mike and he nods his head in approval. “I ran away with Mike.”

“You WHAT?!” He bellows through the phone.

“I ran. Away. With Mike. Mike Fuentes, your brother? Have you not met him, aw shame, such a sweet guy.”

“Let me speak to Mike please,” he orders. I pass the phone to Mike and he looks at me worried.

“Hi Vic,” he mumbles into the phone.

Vic speaks so loud I can hear him from five feet away, “Mike are you serious! You ran away! What about Papa?! Mum?! We have a family you know, a very good one too! I came home early because we finished, and you're completely gone! Where are you?! I'm coming to get you and you're coming home.”

“I'm not telling you where I am if you're bringing me home. I'm staying here with Iris. Please, Vic,” his voice shakes nervously.

“Mike what's going on?” He's talking now, but still loud enough so I can hear. I shiver runs though my body, wondering what Mike will answer with. Will he tell him, or will he make up a lie? He stays silent for a minute or two then looks at me. “Mike please tell me, I'm sorry for getting mad, answer me please.”

I shake my head and mouth 'Tell him' to him. “Iris' mum found her suicide note, she kicked her out of the house. I picked her up basic necessities and drove to the cliff.”

I can't hear Vic anymore, maybe he's not saying anything. I close my eyes and listen to the water, trying to calm myself down, what's going to happen? Where are we going to go?

“Okay, thank you Vic, I love you. Bye.” He hands the phone to me and drops his head. After a long silence he looks at me and says ,“11 o'clock, what do you want to do today?”

“I don't know, there's nothing much we can really do.”

“We could go swimming?”

I smile at him and stand up, “Swimming it is.”

We go to the truck and grab a few towels, extra clothes and the keys from the truck. We walk down the side of the cliff and approach the small beach. I take off my shirt and my pants and toss them on the ground, leaving me in my bra and panties.

Mike turns and looks at my body. “Whoa, I l- I mean you look nice,” he smiles and grabs my hand pulling me to the water.

---

“That was probably the best swim I've had in forever,” I say as we dry ourselves off under a tree. It's 10PM now, I don't know where the time went.

“I'd have to agree with you, I never swam with girls you know. I like it.”

“You only like it cause we're half naked!”

“What if I'm gay? Have you thought about that before?” I laugh and look at Mikes face to see dead seriousness.

“You're gay aren't you,” I say staring back at his death stare. “I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to-” He cuts me off with his lips. He kisses me so passionately like he's the one for me, like I was his, and we were infinite.

He breaks away and looks at me, “You shit, I'm not gay, I love you.” He smiles ever so sweetly, I blush and kiss him back.

“I love you too,” I smile through the kiss.

I move my lips in sync with his, making sure every kiss is perfectly planted on his lips. He doesn't seem to care about that after 10 minutes or so. He grabs my waist and pulls me closer to him, closing the gap between us, making me smirk. I touch his face with such delicacy, like it's glass and I don't want to break it.

My hands move up to his half shaved head and use more force on him. He brings his hands up to my breasts and pushes me against the tree trunk. He touches me fiercely and I can feel him against my thigh. Right now, I don't care what happens, I just want him.

“Thanks Mike,” I hear a call from the right and footsteps running back up the hill.

“Shit,” Mike gasps and pulls on his dry clothes and runs up the hill leaving me pressed against the tree.
