Chapter One

Aleks made it through the first half of the day and was now going to the cafeteria with Jake. He had 4th period with Jake, and he was actually relieved. Aleks wanted to get to know him more. “So, Aleks, how are you doing here so far? You hating it?” Jake asked, trying to start a conversation while they stood in the food line. Aleks shrugged.

“It's okay. I'm not necessarily hating it...yet.” he answered. Jake nodded and opened his mouth to speak again. However, he was interrupted.

“Hey, Jakey,” someone said, walking up beside Jake. Aleks's eyes flashed with recognition. It was-

“Hey kid who bumped into me this morning and is in most my classes.” he continued. Jake looked at Aleks and laughed quietly at his embarrassed face.

“Aleks, this is Eddie. Eddie, meet Aleks.” Jake introduced them to each other. They both nodded at each other and Eddie giggled.

“Hey, so, you should come and sit with us! You could meet some more people!” Eddie suggested, smiling at Aleks. Jake shoved him playfully.

“I was going to ask him. You jerk.” He whined. Aleks laughed slightly and Eddie laid his head on Jake's shoulder.

“So, you wanna come?” Eddie asked. Aleks stiffed a laugh and smirked.

“Yeah I wanna come......badly.” That made Jake burst out with laughter along with Aleks. Eddie glanced between the two, registering what was just said. His eyes widened and he gasped.

“Oh my gosh! Aleks! That's gross! Bad boy!” Eddie exclaimed, slapping Aleks's shoulder softly. They all grabbed food trays and paid, Aleks following the other two to a table. Eddie sat on the end seat while Jake sat sort of in the middle of all the people. He waved Aleks over and tapped the seat next to him. Aleks listened and sat.

“Guys, this is Aleks. He's new.” Jake announced to the group of guys. They all faced Aleks and greeted him. Eddie stood up and everyone stayed silent, watching him.

“Okay, he's what I'll do. I'll go down the other side of the table and then down my side, okay? Okay. Well, on this side we have; Michael, James, Seamus, you, Jakey, and Ze-I mean Steven. On my side you have; me, of course, Jordan, Nick, Kevin, Dan, and Anthony.” Eddie said.

“Where's Steven going to sit?” Kevin asked randomly.

“Don't worry, your lover will be sitting next to you.” Eddie teased. Kevin's face grew red. “Oh, and another thing, we all accept everyone. Unless you're a serial killer... Then, we'll have to uh, well, you can't sit with us.” Eddie giggled, snapping his fingers at the end. Aleks grinned.

“I'm not a serial killer. And I'm also accepting, so...” Aleks chuckled. It was true, he was in fact no killer of any sorts. He really was accepting also, he never judged anyone too harshly, he accepted most people; even if they were classified as the school's whore. Everyone does something for a reason. He thought this everyday.

A boy their age, who looked in need of a haircut, walked up to the group table and looked down at the others.

"Where do I sit?" He asks, his eyes landing on Aleks.

"Oh Aleks, meet Kevin's lover, Steven. Steven, that's Aleks. You next to your boy." Eddie said after swallowing a mouthful of food. Steven glared at Eddie before sitting down.

"He's not my boy and I'm not his lover." Steven grumbeld. Everyone went back to their conversations. They all liked Aleks, they needed someone new at their boring school. Despite the fact that they've been in high school for only two years, they were tired of seeing the same old people everyday.
