Calista is now 2 months old and since today is the World Cup final I'm going to take her to her first USWNT game! I talked to Jill and I can watch from the sidelines. I arrive at the stadium. "Hey stallion! Can I hold Calista?" Carli said walking towards me. "Yeah. Here you go!" I said. "So how's life? We all know you're baby horse at heart!" Christie said walking towards Carli and me. "It's tiring and Calista is adorable but I wish I could play soccer!" I said. "Well you have about 4 more months until then." Christie said. "Well let's get out of the heat and go into the locker room." I said. "I think that's the smartest thing you've ever said." Carli told me. I walk into the locker room and I go sit down. "OMG! Calista is so cute!" Julie said sitting beside me. "I want one now!" Heather whined jokingly. "Hey we should call Calista baby horse now!" Abby said. Abby is always about nicknames. The funny thing is that Abby doesn't really have a nickname herself. Mallory Pugh is part of our World Cup team and she and Tobin are my best friends!
"Hey Mal can be the new baby horse!" Heather said. "Haha very funny." Mal said sarcastically and laughing. "We already call her speedy and I like that name better." Pinoe said. "How about I stay the og baby horse!" I said. "Good idea Alex! I already like my nickname anyway." Mal said. I could tell Mal likes her nickname "speedy." This is Mal's second year on the senior national team because she's only 21 so she joined the team last year. I feel really nervous but I think they can win it. I did 4 years ago and I think we definitely can earn the 4th star for our jerseys.
