Samie's P.O.V
We left after i told Liam what Zayn sent me. We were in the car on our way back to the hotel. We were quiet until Louis asked me a question.
"Hey Samie, were you ever friends with Josh?"
"I was never friends with him. Why do you want know?"
"I was just wondering. Where their parents at work?"
"No."
"Where were they then? Do they even live with them?" Liam asked. He looked mad at me for some reason.
"Ariel and Abby's parents left when they were in school. Jeni and Jasmine's parents also left." I started shaking. I was afraid to tell the truth to my best friends and to my boyfriend.
We arrived at the hotel. And in front of the hotel was a police car.
"Shit." I didn't mean to say that out loud. That was supposed to be a thought.
"What's a matter? Is everything okay?" Jessica asked me. I guess she saw how badly i was shaking.
"Yeah. I'm fine." I lied.
We headed for the elevator when a police officer asked if he could talk to me. And only me! Liam offered to stay with me but i told him he would get in trouble.
"How can i help you officer?" I asked nervously.
"Are you Samantha Valdez?"
"Yes. But i got adopted and got my last name changed."
"What's you last name? And which one do you prefer to be called by?"
"Smith. And i want to be addressed by Smith."
"Miss. Smith, do you know anything about the murder of the McLean family and the Roberson family?"
"No officer. All i know is that they were in a car crash." After a few more questions he let me go. I went up to our hotel room and found everyone staring at me. Then a guy came out of the boy's bedroom. I didn't recognize him at first but after he told me who he was. I almost died. He said he was just on his way out and that he wanted to talk to me in private some other time. When he left Niall asked if i know anyone with the name Samantha Valdez.
"Why?"
"Someone left a message for a girl named Samantha Valdez." He said looking at Liam. Like Liam knew everything.
"Can i hear it?"
"Yeah."
This is what it said: "Samantha Valdez. We know what you did and we know where they are. If you want them to live you better come out of hiding and tell the truth."
I started crying. I went to my bedroom and someone was following me. It turned out to be Zayn and Harry.
"What do you guys want?"
Zayn was the first one to talk. "What's a matter. Do you know who Samantha Valdez is?"
"You can tell us anything Samie. Now, what's the matter?" Harry sounded so caring
"Yes. I know who she is. I don't know if i can tell anyone the truth."
"Who is she. Lets start there."
"I... I'm Samantha Valdez."
