Part of the truth

"I had fun today. Thank you Eth"
"I love it when you're happy"
"Get a room" says Grayson.
We both laugh and get into the car. Surprisingly, Ethan stays silent the whole ride home. I can't help but ask
"Hey is something wrong?"
"Huh? No no everything is alright, I was just thinking"
"About what?"
He instantly stops the car and turns to face me.
"Never in my life have I lied to my brother"
"That's a good thing! Isn't it?"
"Well today I did"
"Wait why?" I ask.
"Because" he tries to hold back the words but all I hear is " because of you".
Because of me? Why did he lie to Gray because of me? I'm such a bad person.
"But, why would you lie to him because of me?"
"Jen, you..it's just.."
"You don't have to.."
I'm interrupted by the taste of his cherry lips on mine. My eyes grow wider as I surrender to his touch. His hands were one on my cheek and the other on my hand. We both pull back not wanting to ruin the mood. I just get out of the car and run to the hotel.

"Hey" I say to the woman standing behind the welcoming desk
"Hello" she replies.
I take a step on the stairs before I feel a hand pulling me towards the dark hall.
"What in the hell!" I exclaim.
I feel someone pushing me backwards until my back hits the wall.
"Ouch!"
"I'm sorry" I hear a known voice say.
"Shawn?"
"Jen"
"What is it so dark here? And why did you pull me from the stairs like that?"
"Look I don't have much time. But listen to what I'm going to say"
I'm starting to get really scared and kind of worried.
"Shawn what's wrong?"
"I like you."
My heart stopped.
"I liked you since the moment I saw you enter through the hotel door on your first day here
I liked you since I saw you play the piano and heard you sing"
"Shawn.."
"No, don't speak, just listen to me! I may not be able to show you what I feel about you but you mean everything to me. I've known you for less than two days and I already feel like you stole my heart. But I just can't"
"Shawn why are you making it this complicated?"
"Because there are too many things that you don't know. And it's better if you don't"
He pins my hands to the wall and even though I can't see his face, I can feel his breath close to my mouth.
He puts his lips on mine as I run my hand through his hair and he takes me into a whole new world. A world of imagination, a world of fantasy and dreams. A world where all of this is more than just real.

I put my head on my pillow remembering all the things that happened today. Ethan kissed me and Shawn told me he liked me. Wow! That's something I never thought I would actually say.
How was this actually happening.
I don't deserve these guys. I don't deserve anything good.
I snap out of my thoughts as my phone rings.
"Hey Jen" I hear Grayson say.
"Hey Gray"
"Look out the window"
I put on my slippers and instantly walk to the window where I find Grayson in the street holding a freacking pizza.
"GRAY WHAT IN THE NAME OF GOD ARE YOU DOING DOWN THERE WITH PIZZA? GET YOUR ASS IN MY ROOM"
"I thought so"
Seconds seem to pass before I hear the bell ring.
I playfuly take the pizza out of his hands and run to my bed.
"Rude" he says.
"As long as I have pizza, I don't care"
"Well someone is hungry"

"So what happened today?" he asks.
"What happened when?"
"You know what I mean. Ethan never lies to me so when I saw you guys at the festival I knew he had a thing for you. So tell me, did he kiss you?"
"Gray!!"
"Ah come on I know my twin brother"
"Yes. He did"
"I knew it" his face turns into bright red.
Wait... was Grayson angry?

Sooo I hope you guys liked this chapter. In the next chapter an unexpected guest shows up. And what does he have to do with Shawn's secret?
