A/n: hey guys I hope you like this . It's my first time writing Kol so I hope you'll be kind cause I'm still trying to figure out how to portray him . You and Kol Mikaelson had been best friends for centuries . You went everywhere together . You had fun no matter what you did whether it was drinking at a bar or killing someone . But you were just best friends . Sure there was a lot of flirting and affection . Sure there was cuddling and stolen glances . And sure you were completely and totally in love with him . But you were best friends . A couple times a week you'd go out to the bar and he'd spend time with you until some slutty broad caught his eye then he'd go home with her while you'd pretend to do the same. The difference was you never actually went through with it . You always ended up somewhere with Elijah crying about how you couldn't see what they had that you didn't . And Elijah would always tell you that his brother was a fool and proceed to trying to make you feel better . Elijah was like your very own brother . Feelings on both sides were not romantic at all . In fact he was in love with your other best friend Hayley . Like all those other nights tonight was no different . Kol had found a girl and you had met Elijah at a cafe drunk as can be crying . Elijah was hugging you and petting your hair telling you all was going to be okay like the kind and noble man he was. He carried you up to your apartment staying with you the whole night to make sure you didn't hurt yourself . Like a responsible big brother would . But that's not what Kol saw. He saw it as his very own flesh and blood betraying him by stealing the one person all the Mikaelson's knew Kol was in love with . He was furious . And heartbroken . The next day Kol wouldn't even speak one word to you. He didn't look at you except if it was a glare and he did the same to Elijah . Finally Elijah asked his brother to enter another room with him to discuss his issues . You tried to listen in but all you could understand was your name being said a few times Kol's pissed voice and Elijah trying to explain something . Finally you caved and entered the room " I know what the bloody hell I saw Elijah . I saw my own flesh and blood betraying me yet again . Shouldn't even surprise me anymore . That's all you people do is betray ." Kol said his voice filled with pure rage . " brother if you'd let me explain..." Elijah began. " there is nothing to explain!" Kol yelled . " Kol enough! What the hell is this ? Why are you so angry with Elijah" you said getting his attention. " oh yes defend your precious little boyfriend . How could you sleep with my own brother when you are supposedly my best friend?" Kol screamed at you . " First Kol mind your tone with me . Second what the bloody hell are you talking about I'm not sleeping with Elijah . It's also none of your business whom I sleep with. We are just friends. And third what the hell is going on with you ?! You sound like Niklaus going on about betrayal this betrayal that ! Calm down!" You said snapping . " none of my business ? Wow ." Kol replied . " it isn't Kol. " was your only reply . Elijah took the opportunity to leave the room. Next thing you know you are up against the wall looking into Kol's rage filled eyes . His eyes darkened with something you couldn't quite place as he said " we are more than just friends and you fucking know it y/n." That was all he said before turning to walk out the door . You threw caution to the wind and grabbed his hand and kissed him . He wound his hand in your hair kissed back with more passion than you though possible . He wrapped your legs around him laying you on the couch kissing your neck . A chorus of finally could be heard by all the members of the Mikaelson household . Along with a not my couch you don't by Niklaus . You both chuckled and parted ways . Kol caressed your face kissing you again sweetly this time uttering the three words you've always wanted to hear (I have food . Jk) " I love you y/n " Kol admitted . " I've been in love with you for a very long time. " you also confessed bringing him in for another kiss . Before it could get heated again Kol threw you over his shoulder and vamp sped back to your house . And that's where the real fun began .
