CHAPTER FOURTEEN

~ Sasuke's Point of View  ~

This guy, or snake, or whatever the hell he was, was really getting under my skin. (Y/n) had already tried to get him to leave, but he wasn't having it. Something about how we'd come to him, how we'd seek his power.

"Oh, we will meet again." Orochimaru hisses. He does a quick hand sign, and in a flash, his neck drastically elongated, like a snake, and his teeth are in (Y/n)'s neck.

"GAH!" (Y/n) screams. I gasp as the man pulls his teeth from her neck and she begins to tremble in pain. I rush over to her side as soon as Orochimaru's neck was back in place, just to see three straight lines, like a sun, without the circle in the middle.

"(Y/n)?!? What've you done to her?!?" I scream after I'd snapped my head back toward him. (Y/n) suddenly snaps her head up and watches Orochimaru. She's got the same idea as I do, we both know he's not done here.

"The same thing that I'm about to do to you." Orochimaru growls. He made that same singular hand sign and shot toward me. I gasp and quickly go to push (Y/n) behind me, but she shoves me to the floor first and takes the mark for me. Her eyes go wide as she drops to the floor.

"AHHH!" She screams so loudly that the sound of animals fleeing from the area is present. I drop to the floor beside her and look at the second mark forming, three commas. I gently touch the area that is now covered in her sweat.

"Oh dear. This could be a problem. I hope you know that you just doubled your chances of dying. With only one curse mark, the odds were against you one in ten, but now, mathematically, I guess you could say one in one hundred or so." Orochimaru says as he places his hand under his chin and watches her wither. (Y/n)'s breathing got louder, heavier as the seconds ticked on.

"I'LL KILL YOU!" I screamed at him, but didn't move. (Y/n) needed me right now, she was my top priority. Orochimaru went to speak, but I had woken Naruto up with my scream. He looked around and saw what was happening and was about to speak, but (Y/n) screeched once more as her body convulsed.

"GAH! SASUKE!" She screamed and rolled over, her grip on both side of her neck tightening. Guilt and sorrow filled me as she screamed for me. Naruto's eyes widened and he finally spoke.

"Hey! What'd you do to (Y/n) and Sasuke you freak?!?" Naruto yells as he throws his arms around. (Y/n)'s breathing becomes a bit slower and her body relaxed just slightly. I began to panic, she looked as if she were dying.

"I'm afraid I'll have to visit you later Sasuke, I don't have enough venom to produce another mark. And as for the girl, if she lives, very soon she will seek me out for my power. So long." Orochimaru said as he sank into the tree trunk. I sighed in relief and scooted over closer to (Y/n) and picked her body up, trying to get her into a seated position, but it wasn't working. Her head lolled from side to side as I continued to panic, the only indication of her being alive was her ragged breathing. Her body began to tremble once more, until she finally just collapsed onto me.

"(Y/n)? (Y/n)?!?" I yelled as I held her delicate body in my arms. She was boiling, and sweating buckets. She was sick. My breathing picked up as anxiety started to settle in the pit of my stomach.

"(Y/n), hold on, I'm gonna make you better, it'll all be okay. Naruto, she's hurt, I need you! Get yourself down and help me get her somewhere safe!" I screamed at him. He grunts in agreement and reaches up behind him and pulls the kunai out that was holding him to the tree. He free falls, and lands on his hands and knees onto the branch just below him before jumping over to me. When he saw (Y/n), his eyes widened in panic.
