Can't Hide Behind

Chapter 1

Aubree up above ,please stay with me. This is my first time writing on here. I just thought maybe start of something new.

Aubree's POV

I can't believe I did it. I am finally finishing my dream and following in my mother's footsteps.
" Your mother would be proud of you sweetheart," my father said as he pulled us up at the airport.

"I know I wish she was here."I said. She would be here if that drunk driver hadn't decided to be on the road that day.

    " I'm going to miss you sweetheart let me know when you get there and tell Alex I said hi."

"I will, love you dad. I'll try to visit around Christmas." I said as I'm hugging my father trying not to cry.

My best friend and I are going to Greenville college in Minnesota 5 hours away from here. Alex is majoring in English lit. Alex's dad and mine have been friends from before we have been born, so him and I have been planning on going to college together.

"Aubree you ready to go. They're fixen to close the gates," Alex says as I walk up to him.

"Yea, and by the way my dad says hi."

"OK" he said "You ready for a difference." I nod

"Tickets please," the receptionist said.

I walk through the gate while giving her the tickets and finding us a seat. Plugging in my headphones and sleeping is my best option to get rid of time for at least for 5 hours.

I wake up to my phone dead and Alex shaking me.

"Aubree wake up we got about 15 minutes till landing," he whispered courtesy to the others around sleeping.

"You could have at least let me sleep for another 5 min you dumbass."

"Opps ,sorry" he said laughing

Ohh the nerve of that boy. Once I get off this plane I'm kicking his ass. Nobody messes with my beauty sleep. Not that I'm going to tell him that, I'm going to get him while he least expects it hahaha I know I'm evil.

"How many days do we have till the simester starts?" He ask me

" I think it starts next Monday so about a week and a half," I say. " We have enough time to get situated in our dorms."

I hope to the lords I don't get a bitch as a roommate. I want to be able to have a good 3 year college fun.

"Come on, it looks like its going to rain. I want to get on campus before it does," he says. I nod .

We arrive at campus 5 min later, needing to get our dorms numbers and keys. So as that said we head to the main building.

"Umm excuse me can I get my dorm number and key please."

"Name please." The receptionist ask us.

"Aubree Evans and Alex Ealy," Alex says before I can get anything out.

"Ahh yes Aubree your dorm room is 267 and Mr. Monue is already in good luck."

I stood there with my mouth open shocked. Did she just say Mr.? Holy hell please tell me that is a mistake! It can't be true. Why would the put different genders in a same dorm room. They must be crazy.

"Uhh there must be a mistake. Why would there be a boy as my roommate?" I ask.

"No mistake. Sorry had a last minute put in." She says.

"OK thank you."

"No problem sweetheart. Good luck!!

Alex and I part ways heading towards our dorms. Afraid of what I'm about to discover.

I put my key in and look up to see the most handsome guy in my instinct.

"Uhh who are you and why are you in my dorm room." He says.

I still can't talk. This is going to be a long year.

"See something you like sweetcakes." The hottie says.

"No" I lied "And don't call me that my name is Aubree."

"Jace, and I can call you anything I disire sweetcakes." Jace says.

"So why are you here need something." He says.

"You wish and I'm your roommate."I replied.

"Ooo this is going to be fun." He says.

Oh shit.
