Chapter 4

Jace's pov

Its been 3 months since the incident with her getting kidnapped and raped. She's been avoiding me after I rescued her and I've been trying to talk, but she has not budge yet.

Classes has started a month and a half ago. Everybody knows what happened that night with Aubree and shes been the laughing stock. The guy that raped and abused her got charged and put in jai. Alex and her have gotten close, but he swears they are friends plus she is dating someone who I dispis

I'm in the canteen sitting with a couple of my friends including aubree and jackass over here. Aubree still hasn't talked to me or even glanced my way.

I could hear Aubree and Xander,I think his name us, whispering.

"You know I love you right." Xander whispers. She sighs and nods replying with an 'I know'

"I'll be right back," she says"I'm hrading to the bathroom." she gets up with a couple of friends she made in the past couple of weeks.

Once shes gone though Xander says somthing that makes my heart drop and fear and anger runs through my vains.

"Hopfully I can fulfil the bet tonight and win the my prize." he says. " I'm taking her out on a fake date bet she doesnt know that. Then I'm going to invite her to my house and maybe just maybe I will be lucky and win her innocence." he speaks his plan with pride. But me on the other hand wants to tear the pride and his heart out if him and see what he feels.

I could hear a couple of cheers and claps around our table. I just shook in anger and disgust.

I sood up to throw my pkate away and head towards the restrooms. As I reach the restrooms I hear the girls talk. I snoop being the nosey person I am.

"I have a date with Xander tonight," she blurts. Although I can't see her I can hear a smile comes accros her lips.

"Tell me the deats. Are y'all going to do the dirty?" One of her friends ask.

"No, we are not,"she answers."Even if he wanted to I'm not ready for that just yet." she says. I felt some if the relief flow from my body. I still need to tell her. She'll be torn.

"Let's go before one of them come looking for us," one of her friends say. They agree.

When they come out of the restroom, Aubree is the last to come out.

"Aubree," I say softly grabing her arm gently trying not to startle her.

"Hmm."

"I need to talk to you please its important."

She nods reluctantly.

"Please listen and try not run away." I say. " please belive me when I tell you this." here it goes.

"Xander is bad for you it's all a bet I hea..."
I don't get to finish my sentence before she yanks her arm away from my hold.

" What the hell are you talking about Jace." she spats angrily towards me.

"I'm telling the truth. I heard him talking with his friends saying he is going to fulfill the bet tonight. Please I'm begging you not to go tonight please," I beg desperately.

"I don't believe you. So go and fuck yourself." she spats at me.

I've had enough. If she wants to be naive then the hell with her. I walk away angry and hurt. I cared to much to leave her alone with him. So I'm going to follow them.

I had a bad feeling somthing bad is going to happen soon.
