*Andre POV*
I made my way into Empire heading straight to my office and before I could even sit down my mother comes bursting into my office with an angry expression on her face.
"Where the hell have you been, I've been calling your phone all damn day worried about you and you over here smiling." She said as she cupped my face then out of nowhere she slapped me not to mention hard as hell.
"Ow ma."I said while rubbing where she slapped me, she loves slapping us.
"Had me over here worried where were you the least you could have done was call me back or text me back ."
"I was out mom I had taken a walk because I had to clear my head for a moment I must have had my phone on do not disturb I'm sorry I had you worried ma." I told her while holding her hand. Her reaction changed after I told her that I left out the part of having an episode and meeting Ava.
I didn't to tell her about the episode because she worries too much and of course I wasn't going to tell her about me meeting Ava because they probably would scare her away.
"I understand being here bring nothing but a headache just don't ever not answer my calls and have me worried like or else I'll kick yo ass." She said hugging me
I laughed at her "alright ma I promise."
After talking to my mother for a couple more minutes she left to handle business for Tiana once she left I let my mind wander back towards Ava as I look at the photos we took today I noticed that not even Rhonda could calm me down when I had my episodes and we were together for years and here comes Ava.
*Ava POV*
After Andre left I felt like I really helped him clear his head I looked at the time and noticed that I had one last art class that I have to teach for the day which is actually favorite my class because they actually listen and enjoy painting and of course I have my favorite student Lance who is in the class.
He was just the sweetest little kid I had ever met yet children pick on him but of course, I shut that shit down I do not tolerate bullying of any kind in my class.
I made it back to my class just in time with 20 minutes to spare so I started setting up the easels in a circle as I'm putting the last easel in the circle putting Lance's easel by mine the bell rings and my students came rushing in excited for class I noticed the teacher who walked them cue mental eye roll.
"If it isn't the beautiful Miss Ava looking beautiful as ever."
This man could never take a hint I dislike him with a passion. I smiled at him and then slammed the door in his face locking it after then turning towards my students.
"Hello, my babies." I said to them I treat them as if they are my own
"Hello, Miss.Ava." they said call together they are really my favorite class.
"Time skip"
As my last student left my phone had rung I looked to see that it was Andre facetiming me which I was surprised to see I quickly answered it.
"Well hello handsome, " I said as I saw his face.
He smiled and shook his head
"Hello beautiful how are you I hope you don't mind me call you am I interrupting anything ." He said
"No Andre I don't mind and no my students just left I'm just here cleaning up the class."
I couldn't help but noticed how handsome he was.
"I was just wondering if I could take you out tonight if you don't want to you -" I cut him off
"Andre I would love to go out with you just let me know the time and how to dress."
"7 o'clock and dress casual and comfortable -" he was cut off by another voice
"Aye dre pops wants you in his office now." The voice said
"I guess that's my signal to go I'll see you tonight text me your address and I'll be there to pick you up."
"Aye Dre who that ." he tried to get to the phone but Andre was too quick.
"Okay bye Andre see you tonight." I said laughing at Andre trying to get away then the call ended
As soon as the facetime was over I got my bag, texted Andre my address and then locked up my classroom trying to hurry up home so I can get ready for my date.
