Andre's POV

"No. She said it, Rhonda, not Andre. She calls me her family. She asked me..."

Rhonda: But does she know who you really are?

"Hey!" I yelled when I felt hands touch me causing me with jump up from my seat when I saw it was Ava that fear went away.

"Andre, it's just me," Ava said with her hands up as she did a step back from me.

"Ava, you can't sneak up on me like that,"I told her sighing instantly feeling back for yelling at her I looked down and noticed she had her hands protectively over her stomach.

"Are you okay, Dre? You were in here talking to your self."

"I'm fine. I'm fine, okay? I'm sorry I yelled you just scared me." I said to her

"It alright Andre I understand." She said smiling as she walked over to me and I pulled her into a hug.

"Also you and I, we have a meeting with Nessa." I said to her as I pulled her to my lap and placed my hand onto her stomach rubbing it.

"We?" she questioned

"Yes us, I feel like we could use Nessa in this plan she has raw talent and she has what it takes that she could make it to the top with us giving her a little push."

"Hmm, I like that long as she knows her place."She said playing with buttons of my dress shirt, I couldn't help but chuckle at that.

Before I could reply to that somebody entered the room already knowing it was Nessa, Ava was about to get up to sit in the chair next to but I stopped her.

"You wanted to see me?" she questioned looking at me and Ava.

"Ah yes, Nessa, there's something Ava and I need you to think about.'

"Yeah," she said giving us her undivided attention.

"My father and I just lined up a new round of funding for Empire XStream, All right? Now, when that money hits... we need to have you positioned to take advantage of it. Let's, uh, let's talk about what that's gonna mean."

She gave a look of satisfaction before leaving the office.

After Nessa left I placed a kiss on Ava's neck.

"Don't try and start something we can't finish right now." She said pulling my face from her neck and fixing herself so that she could face me.

"Baby girl you know I can always finish what I start but the real question is can you last?" I said smirking at her.

"You know what? come on we gotta go meet Nessa." She said rushing to get off of my lap and walking to the door. I couldn't help but laugh at her reaction.

As we all walked into the room, Tiana was performing. I would continue to talk to Nessa, while Ava would go over to the stage to start getting shots for the fashion show since she would be the head photographer of the show.

"All right, think about what you want, and we'll talk to Cookie directly. Exclusive club dates, features with some of Empire's top artists? How are we gonna follow your spectacular debut at the Empire XStream launch, okay?" I told Nessa as she watched Tiana sing I could tell she wanted to be on that stage.

"What do I want?" I looked at her "I want this." she said

"Ava and I can make that happen," I said before walking away from her.

I was now walking back into Empire with my mother I had just shown her the ring I bought for Ava.(Yall will see the ring later)

"You really love her, huh, Dre?" she asked touching my face I then held her hand

"I-I didn't, I didn't think that it was possible. I've been starting to imagine myself actually being happy and starting over with Ava, Is-is that wrong?" I asked her

"No, baby, no. I want that for you more than I want it for myself. Whatever you need." She said with a smile

"You know what would be great?"

"What?" She questioned

"Can Nessa shadow Tiana for this HVW Fashion Show?"

"Mmm... " She said thinking

"She's new to all this, Mom. She could really learn a lot from Tiana.

"Okay," she said rolling her eyes with a laugh

"You have Nessa come to Tiana's fitting, but she better come correct, 'cause that daggone Tiana, she is nervous about this performance," she said walking towards the elevators

"You won't even know she's there I'll even have Ava there to watch over her to make sure, Ma."

"I love you." She said before continuing to walk

"I love you," I said back to her.
