Running through the woods on four paws in the early afternoon was the perfect activity after just having mated in 'wolf form'. My wolf was happily a little slut and loved the attention and grooming from her mates, she was so pleased with their prowess. Sexual, supplying food, protection and defending territory- prowess in every way. Her Alpha Mate allowed her to lead the chase along the paths, my wolf often swishing her tail in his face to tease him.

Hearing his growls only made her more playful as I watched the scene from the back of my mind. These times gave me time to think, and I so desperately needed to absorb everything that had happened since the King's visit a month ago. Or as I thought of it, the-day-I-started-growing-up. My eyes were opened and it didn't matter that I was only nineteen, I was thrown into world politics and had to quickly learn to swim.

My other choice was to hide from reality and let a hundred thousand Omegas continue to suffer being tortured, raped, and kept in slavery. Oh how part of me wanted to ignore the problem! I hated that part of myself but I needed to acknowledge that part of me wanted to go back to the carefree she-wolf who was planning on traveling the world.

But I was no longer a child. I was plunged into a new world where decisions were being made by my mates, by elder councils, by the Parsifal family. The word 'family' does not even begin to describe the dynasty that my mates ran. They actually ran an empire, and they were the mini-kings of it, and I still balked at the idea of being any kind of Queen. I rebelled against that idea with my very soul.

The Parsifal dynasty was like the mafia in some ways, only my mates had a conscience and cared deeply for the needs of their people. But they eliminated threats to their borders which is a nice way of talking about killing, and they killed anyone who threatened the pack without any hesitation. But they didn't eliminate rival packs unless provoked, Fintan created alliances and treaties with them to the mutual benefit of both.

Only I had to learn to navigate this strange world without losing sight of who I was, being a strong but average she-wolf who caught the attention of two Alpha male twins. Jeremy might be the Beta to this pack, but he was actually an Alpha in nature and everyone knew it since he was stronger than almost all other Alphas. He was actually a mini-King of the Parsifal empire along with Fintan, and that's partly why the Royal King visited the pack.

The King was sizing up the Parsifal empire. And the Royal Queen was sizing up its new Luna.

I was brought back to the present moment when Jeremy joined our chase and gently tackled me to the ground, a small 'oomph' whooshing out of my lungs at the impact.

His wolfy grin covered his face, his eyes laughing. I barked at him which made his ears ring, I didn't like being tackled. Both mates softly barked back, enjoying this new 'game'. And the first chance I got my wolf sprang up and jumped away, growling at her mate which looked surprised. Fintan just stood there wagging his tail and watching as I started to pace back and forth in front of Jeremy's wolf. I couldn't help but notice his wolf cock getting larger and poking out from his wolf sheath.

'Oh no,' I linked Jeremy, 'no.' Is all I told him, Jeremy was preparing to mount me and I wasn't in the mood now. My wolf wanted the customary courting, she wanted the play, she wanted the grooming. Maybe even given some wild game as a friendly gesture. We saw Jeremy stand taller, his stance determined as he sashayed toward me as my wolf growled louder, her mate wasn't putting any effort into the mating and she was feeling a little disrespected. When Jeremy came within striking range we snapped at him, but my wily mate hopped to the side and brushed against me, rubbing his scent on me.
