There was a girl named Mary she is the main character of the book. Her life goes on an incredible journey. This all started a month ago, Mary was sitting on her couch watching tv when suddenly Mary heard a knock on the door and the lights were flickering. Suddenly Mary heard the knock again the knock became stronger BANG BANG BANG! Mary was very terrified her hand trembling in fright. Mary double-minded should she open the door she thought. Finally, Mary made up her mind and she opened the door. There was a very loud thunder in that thunder there the creature was the visitor he was not an ordinary visitor this visitor's face was ugly he had a wrinkled face and white hair and a shuddery smile. Mary was wearing the necklace on her neck and this creature would not stop looking at her so deeply in thought. Each time this creature would come so near her then when she looked at him this creature would turn away. Suddenly Mary felt like she was getting hypnotized by the creature. Suddenly this creature got up on Mary and grabbed her necklace just like that. Mary who was out of being hypnotized saw that her necklace was missing. That was the necklace that her mother gave before she died. Mary was in speechless and in tears. Mary ran to her room thinking her life had ended, suddenly Mary heard mouse speak. Mary's face became ghastly and she was speechless she did not what to do in that moment. Did she just hear a mouse speak?
