~Five~

I turned over, my eyes fluttering open slowly. The sunlight was shining in my room as I rubbed my eyes. I turned over onto my back, slowly falling asleep again before someone barged into my room.

"Let's do something today." Bella said, plopping down onto my bed.

"I am doing something. I'm sleeping." I muttered, opening my eyes slowly.

"Cammy, don't be boring. Let's go roaming in the woods."

"And get mauled by bears? No thanks." I laughed softly.

"Don't forget the mountain lions." She nodded as I sat up.

"You better buy me food after we finish roaming." I said before making my way to the bathroom.

I took a quick shower before walking back to my room. I walked to my closet, pulling on my jeans and a grey sweater. I ran my hands through my wet heart before walking over to my vanity mirror. I grabbed my hair dryer before plugging it in and turning it on. I dried my hair before walking into Bella's room.

"You ready?" I asked before she nodded, getting up.

I skipped down the stairs before slipping on my shoes. I tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear before walking out of the house. I crossed my hands before walking into the woods with Bella.

"We're gonna get lost." I laughed softly as we walked straight down the woods.

"If we do, I'll call dad." She laughed softly as I looked around.

I shook my head with a smile before letting out a soft sigh. "It's so peaceful here."

"It's quiet, but a bit creepy." She said, letting out a soft laugh.

"I like it." I admitted before we heard a twig snap.

I turned around, looking at Bella. "Did you hear that?" I mouthed.

She nodded before we heard it getting closer. I started running with her, not even knowing where we were running. We turned around before bumping into someone, causing me and Bells to scream.

"Are you okay?" I heard his familiar voice.

I looked up to come face to face with Emmett. I looked to my side to see Bella and Edward.

"What are you doing in the woods?" I asked, pushing his chest lightly as he laughed.

"I could ask you the same." He said through his laughter.

I rolled my eyes, turning to look at Bella but she was gone. I raised my eyebrow.

"She and Edward went their own way." Emmett said before I began walking in front of him.

"Where are you going?" He asked, following me.

"I don't know. Away from you." I teased, grabbing onto the tree as I stepped over a bump.

"You're such a sweetheart, baby face." He chuckled as I rolled my eyes.

"Go away, Emmett." I said in a singy tone.

"You know you don't really want me to go away." He said, walking next to me.

"So what's the deal with you and Embry Call?" Emmett asked.

"What do you mean?" I raised my eyebrow, looking over at him.

"I heard a small rumor about you and him." He shrugged.

"Which was?"

"That you were his girl." He said, putting his hands in his pockets.

I laughed softly. "Wait, what? That's just a joke between him and I."

"I don't think you should hang around with him anymore." He said, seriously.

"Well, I don't think that's your choice." I scoffed, crossing my arms.

"Well I'm just suggesting it. He doesn't seem like a good guy."

"You haven't even met him yet."

"Well from what I heard-"

"You can't believe everything you hear." I said sternly before walking away from him.

"Cammy! Cammy, come on!" He called out after me.

I turned around looking at him, well, glaring.

"You can't tell me who and who not to be friends with. You are not my father. You're supposed to be my friend. If I want to be friends with Embry then I will continue being friends with him. It's not like you're my boyfriend that you have to be so protective over me. I know how to take care of myself." I said all in one breath.

"You're right, I'm not...so, maybe I should just not care for you at all, right?" He said, storming off.

I scoffed in frustration, walking the other way. I don't get why he wants to act like such a baby. He completely twisted my words. I said he wasn't my BOYFRIEND not that he wasn't my friend and shouldn't care for me at all. I'm right though! He ISN'T my boyfriend. Gosh, now I don't even know where I'm going. He's really aggravating, like when did I ever say that he should care for me AT ALL. All I said is that he wasn't my boyfriend and he shouldn't be so protective over me like he is. UGH. I swear, that son of a-

My thoughts were cut off by hearing a twig snap in the distance. I raised my eyebrow, looking around to see where it was coming from. I turned around, screaming as I came face to face with Edward and Bella.

"Aren't you a bit jumpy-" Edward teased as I glared at him.

"Where's Emmett?" Bella asked.

I shrugged, crossing my arms.

"They got into a fight." Edward said, looking at Bella.

"Were we that loud?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Something like that." Edward shrugged.

"Let's just go for a bite now." Bella suggested. 

"We can take my car." Edward said, leading Bella and I out of the woods.

"I'll tell Emmett to meet us-"

"If that's okay." Bella said, looking at me.

"It's whatever." I sighed, getting into the car.
