"Miss me love?" his deep voice rung through my ears whilst his emerald green eyes pierce through mine with a wide grin plastered on his face.
"HARRY!" I shriek out and throw my arms around his neck, flabbergasted that he is really here in person.
He stumbles backwards, letting out a chuckle before wrapping his arms around my side returning the hug.
I inhaled his strong scent of men's cologne combined with a slight pleasant citrus smell. I missed him so much.
We both pulled away and I didn't hesitate to start shooting him a bajillion questions of why he is right here right now.
"Woah woah, slow down love. We have a lot to talk about and we will. We have the rest of our days to catch up because I'm staying for good," he beams, rocking back and forth on the heels of his feet.
"No way, REALLY?" I shriek in excitement, my smile never leaving my face.
I feel so relieved that I finally have a close friend here with me by my side.
"Are you coming back to school?"
I cross my fingers behind my back because school is literally the one place where I feel most alone and need a friend the most.
"Yes of course. I'd never let you graduate without your best friend. I'm here to stay."
My smile grows even bigger.
I stare at him and take in his full appearance. He's grown a bit taller as he was already really tall when he left. His dark locks have definitely grown longer almost past his shoulders. He has a small stubble above his upper lip and along his chin. I remember how he used to want to grow a beard so bad but with his genetics, he never could.
His jawline is more defined now as well as his structured cheekbones. Even I'm jealous of this pretty boy.
When hugging him before, I could tell he had lost all his prepubescent body fat and his built body was evidently shaped within the material of the black button up he's wearing. His first two buttons were popped open and a few tattoos were exposed. This boy was producing more and more questions in my head to ask him about.
I made a mental note to remember to make him sit down and tell me the backstory for each and every tattoo inked on his skin later.
"Why are you staring at me? I'm just so sexy aren't I?" Harry asked teasingly.
"Don't be a Travis," I sneered.
One of his eyebrows drew up and looked at me questioningly.
"I'll tell you all about it later," I give him a smirk.
The sound of the dishwasher starting in the kitchen tuned me back into reality where I was reminded that I'm at work and supposed to be serving these fools next to me.
What a killjoy. I just want to sit back and reminisce with Harry.
I turned towards them again.
"So was your objective of taking time out of your day to visit me at work, to pick up from where Travis left me? Because if it is then I suggest you leave, I am not trying to look for a relationship or a hook up."
I eyed them all to scare them a little.
They all looked at each other then stood up to leave.
They all muttered their goodbyes and I heard a "what a waste of time"
Well I didn't ask for their presence so that's their unwanted ass for coming.
Harry said a "cya" to the boys and they all gave each other a bro hug.
I roll my eyes at their stupidity that they really thought I'd open my legs for them just because I supposedly did for Travis.
Aaron is the last to go through the door but he stops and turns to me. He whispers just loud enough for me to hear, "we may seem like jerks but we think you're dope. We all don't really like Sarah and we want to thankyou for opening Travis' eyes so that he could realise how wrong it was." He pat my back firmly then left giving me a small smile.
My intentions were never really to turn people against Sarah but it doesn't really bother me that my actions are? I don't know but I'm not mad about it.
"What was that all about?" Harry asked
"Wait for me, my shift ends in ten minutes. I'll tell you later."
He nodded and walked out of the door into the cold.
Why would he wait outside in this weather? What a strange kid.
I helped clean up the last of the tables and then left after putting on a hoodie and grabbing my phone and purse.
Walking out of the cafe, Harry is sat on a bench in front of me looking deep in thought whilst on his phone.
His head instantly popped up at me as he locked his phone and put it back into his pocket.
"Ready to leave?" he smiled up at me.
"Yep, let's go."
He stood up and shoved his hands into the front of his jeans pockets.
"My cars around the corner, where's yours?"
"I take the train to work and I kinda don't have a working car either."
Harry chuckles, "what happen to that junk of yours?"
I shove him with my arm but he barely moves an inch as he's so much stronger than I am.
"Shut up. It's a long story but I've got so much to tell you. You definitely missed a lot but it's okay, you wouldn't want to have been there once I fill you in with everything."
"Wow, someone's getting deep. Now I'm even more curious."
We get to his black Mercedes and he unlocks the door. I slide into the crisp leather seats. The aroma of the newly purchased car filled my nose.
"When'd you get this beauty? Must've been hella expensive."
He slid his seatbelt over his body then put his car into drive.
"Dad got it for my birthday this year. I didn't ask for it but he's sucking up to me still," he shrugged.
"Still? What do you mean by that?"
"Oh nothing, he just you know, flipped out at me then felt bad. That's all," he turned up the radio and pulled out of the parking spot.
"How generous of him."
I let out a yawn and lean my head against the window.
The drive back is silent and I'm a few seconds from falling asleep when we arrive.
"Where are you staying?" I ask as I undo my seatbelt.
"I got an apartment for the time being not too far from here. I'll pick you up for school tomorrow okay?"
"Alright thanks Harry."
He comes in for a hug and I instantly hug him back, making sure he's really here with me.
"I really missed you Harry. I'm so thankful and glad you're here now, I don't think I could've lasted any longer without someone to bitch about with," I mumbled into his chest.
He lets out a low chuckle.
"Goodnight Amelia."
We both let go and I unlock my door as he walks back to his car. I wave him goodbye as he starts to back out of my street.
The rest of the night I spend finishing off an English paper and now I'm in bed, finally able to rest my eyes.
For once, I'm not dreading school as much because now I have Harry by my side.
