Three days had passed and I still don't understand. How is it possible, it can't be. The doctor wouldn't lie to me, would he?

On the date of Feb 12th, I left the hospital in complete and utter shock of what had happened.
Walking out into the world after so long seemed amazing. The breeze, the smell of fresh cut grass.. if only Zach could have witnessed it once again.
"Wait!-"
I felt a tug at my arm and jerked back. I looked up to meet ocean blue eyes.
"I ran out here before you left, I can't believe I almost missed you."
He leaned forward attempting to catch his breath.
"Not to be rude but was there a reason you stopped me..?" I looked down at him with a confused frown on my face. He looked up at me with a smirk.
"Actually, yes. Would you like to get a coffee with me?"
I leaned down and grabbed his hands, making eye contact and helping him up. His blue eyes shined brightly making them seem as though they were grey.
"I'd love to." A corner of my mouth rose with excitement.
He jumped up with a anticipation.
"That's great how about tomorrow? I'll meet you Rico's café before my shift?" I looked down at my hands and began silently sobbing.
He backed up a few steps. With a confused look.
"On second thought That may not he the best thing right now.. I'll give you my number and when you're ready give me a call.. I hope you feel better." He wrote his number on a piece of paper and slipped it into my pocket, hugging me tightly.

Hours felt like days. Weeks felt like years.
It had been 4 months since the accident and still everyday I pray to wake up and see him standing there beside me telling me it was a bad dream. Yet, i wake up to only tears.
*buzz buzz*
I leaned over to my nightstand to see a text had popped up on my phone.

Zach

My eyes stretched open. My lips silently reading the message below the name.
"Miss me, sis?"
