The Sun Valiantly Protects his Lover.

Darky nuzzles and feels Link hug him... they were ready with the guards of Hyrule to fight Ganondorf...

Darky held Link's sleeping hand and nuzzled it

Link awoke slowly but surely.

"Darky my love~ Are you ready?"

Darky nodded softly and thus began their travel to the battlegrounds... for soon they would meet Ganon and defeat him once and for all...

Link thought of Zelda... why was she acting this way?
she truly hated his dark lover so deeply?

Darky roared adorably as they rode to war.
He so desperately wanted to make love to him once again...

but they would have time later... right now... they had to fight to gain their freedom... to gain Darky's freedom...

to gain Darky's right to be with them.

He roared with Darky, calling out to the winds and the skies...

Darky was his lover...

and he would not rest until Darky was freed from his shackles and the tormenting words of his enemies...
he would not rest until Darky was loved by him and loved by all, seen as the hero he was meant to be.

But as they rode deeper into the lands of which Ganon controlled, not only did a storm brew above and rain start to pour, but the roaring thunder and crashing lightning brought forth minions belonging to none other than Ganondorf.

Link jumped off Epona and charged them, sword pointed and shield at ready.

Darky was commanded to stay on Epona despite the young man's plea to also join in and aid his lover.

Link had come to the conclusion that messing with these ridiculous minions was too risky for him...
he'd have to wait until they faced bigger champions and until then he would have to save his strength.

But Darky rushed to help Link when Link was kicked to the side by a minion's steed.

Darky swung his sword and tried his best to defeat the monster but to no avail.
for he ended up laying in the mud as well... however, unlike Link, Darky was swarmed by Ganon's minions and was brutally beaten by them.

Link wasted no time in killing all of the foes before him and rescued Darky.

He sighed whilst holding his shaking lover in his arms.
this would be a war to remember.... he gave Darky a fairy he'd been saving and she healed him then vanished as fairies do.

Darky hugged Link close and nuzzled into his neck.
Link held him close, not wishing to let go of the poor creature, not willing to for any reason whatsoever...

he only wanted this all to be over so his lover and himself could be wed and have a family in their cozy cottage, far from Ganon or Zelda or anyone that would hurt them...

they'd have eachother... and that would be all they needed.
