Stephen has been caught in one of his deals. He ran away from the cops. The police wanted Charles Winters and Tracey Pierce to handle the case. Charles hasn't known who was the dealer yet. The police gave him the picture of Stephan and his name. When he saw the name he was a little confused because it was the same name of Linda's boyfriend.
He went to Linda so he can make sure if he's her boyfriend or not. When he arrived there, Linda opened for him the door.
"Hey Charles, come in!"
"No thanks I came to ask you a question" he said firmly.
"Uhmm okay.... Go ahead"
"Do you know this guy?"
"Yes he's my boyfriend that I've been telling you about"
"Yeah yeah okay bye" he turned his face to go.
"But why are asking?"
He stopped for a second then he said coldly
"Ask your boyfriend!! And if he comes to you just call me because I want know him more..."
He returned back to the office and worked really hard to find him.
"You don't deserve her!" He whispered.
Bob Robson was the one who told the police about Stephen's deals. He witnessed everything. Charles called him in order talk with him.
"Well Bob! What have you seen?"
"I'll say everything, but don't tell Stephen that I am the witness!"
"Don't be afraid just tell me everything and I'll protect you!"
"Okay they were in the old building in Washington street. Simon -the nickname of Stephen-gave them the drugs and he took the money. When I saw everyone weaponed, I quickly called the police. After few minutes, the police came, but Simon ran away with the drugs."
"So Simon is Stephen Churchill?"
"Yes sir."
"Okay Bob you can go now."
"Please sir Don't tell anyone that I was the witness!"
"Don't be afraid Bob, I WON'T."
Bob left the police station, but unfortunately one of Stephen's men saw him. He called Stephen to tell him.
" Hey Simon! Guess what Bob was the one who told the police about you!"
"Damn this guy!!! Go get rid of him Right now you idiot!!"
"Okay sir."
He went after him by his car and shot him in the head. He texted Stephen "Done Simon.". Stephen replied "Good".
After few hours, people found his body dumped in the trash. Charles knew about his death and felt guilty. Stephen was hidden in Grace's house.
Charles asked Tracey to give him a report about the place they've sold the drugs in. He saw the videos of the hidden cameras there. He noticed a girl there with them. Tracey took her picture and found her name, she's called Grace Gilliam Robert.
"Charles this is the report about the place. This girl is called Grace Gilliam. It seems to be Stephen's girlfriend."
"Uhmm interesting! Tell me where this girl lives."
"Yes I am searching."
Linda was calling Charles, he answered the phone. He hoped that Stephen's there.
"Hey Charles!"
"Is Stephen there?"
"No.."
"Why are you calling then?"
"I just wanted to call..." She wanted to ask about Stephen because he has been disappeared lately. He cut her saying
"Thank you, but I'm busy now!"
"W..wait! You changed since the last time in the restaurant... Did I do something that made you this angry?"
"Linda I'm not angry, I just told you that I am busy!" He was secretly dying from inside.
"Okay then, call you later.."
"Goodbye"
"Bye"
His heart felt that weird feeling when he heard this soft warm voice. He tried to stop himself crying. Every day, every time, every moment he remember this night, he just gets angry.
He promised he would catch this guy because he betrayed Linda and cheated on her. Although he loves her, but he didn't want her to get broken. He promised to protect her till the last day of his life.
"She's safe in my heart" he said quietly.
