8: Events & Exams

Exams came and
Bonnie began to send off
Her applications to several
Collages and universities.
She decided on what she
Wanted to do with her life.
She wanted to become a
Surgon: her favourite subjects
Were biology and chemistry
Although she hated physics
Because her teacher was so
Boring that she found
It hard not to fall asleep.

As prom arrived Bonnie
Noticed that all her peers
Were talking about a
Post-prom party which
Was being held by Stephanie
A 'popular' rich girl. Steph
Was infamous for throwing
The wildest parties as
Her parents were often away
On business trips and she
Had huge amounts of money
On her credit card.

The problem was that
Bonnie hadn't been invited
To the party although everyone
Else in the year had. When
She asked Clyde about it
He simply said that he had
Declined the invitation when
He had learnt that she hadn't been
Invited too and never brought
It up as he didn't want to
Upset her or appear to boast.

Bonnie shrugged it off
But when she was at home
Alone in her room at night
She cried herself to sleep
Because it just dawned on her
Just how alone she was
As Clyde was her only friend
Or even aquiantence.

She decided to focus
On her last exams and
Forget the classmates she
Wouldn't give a spare thought
To in even a few months time
When she graduated. She
Never said a word about
the party and decided to
Buy the most spectacular
Dress for prom so that
Stephanie would realise
How awesome Bonnie was
And would deeply regret
Not inviting her. Bonnie
Was going to show everyone
Just how good she could
Look. Clyde had already
Invited her to prom and
Of course Bonnie said yes.

Bonnie went shopping and
After several hours of her and
Her mum rejecting dress after dress
Bonnie finally found the one.
It was an incredible pale lilac
Colour and went down just past
Her toes so that it would
Skim the floor in heels.
It was strapless and silk
And had a folded heart
Neckline which was underlined
By a row of tiny diamonds
Which met in the middle of
The neckline with a
Beautiful deep blue sapphire

The necklace she
Chose was a simple silver chain
With a teardrop sapphire
Off it. Her heels were lilac
Stilettos with deep blue
Sapphire on the sand straps
Which held them
On her feet. She had
Hairslides in her chestnut
Hair which was styled in a fishtail
Plait. Some of the slides had
Sapphires on which
Others had lilac diamonds
And all the gems were
Tees drop shaped. Her
Makeup matched her outfit
Perfectly and emphasised her
Large doe eyes which were
A dark brown shade associated
With spruce wood.

At prom everyone stared
Suprised to find that the loner
Could look decent when she tried
And sure enough Steph
Came up to her asking
If she wanted to come over but
Bonnie looked around at
Clyde and refused as she
Knew she didn't need friends or
Popularity or parties as
Long as she had Clyde
By her side.
