9: Moving On

College acceptances came
And Bonnie got into Oxford
But it was so far away from
Her home in LA that she
Only applied to see if
She could get in; she
Didn't think she would
Actually get accepted.
Clyde refused to say where
He was going and
Would only say that he
Needed her and he
Thought she needed
Him too.

Bonnie was surprised
That he wasn't more enthusiastic
About her getting into
Oxford as it was so respected.
She thought he would
Be over the moon
That she had a
Bright future ahead
of her but then again,
How would she know
What Clyde's reaction
Would be? After all
They had only spent
Everyday together
For the last 13 years.
It's not like they knew
Everything about
Each other.

Bonnie was accepted
Into all 12 colleges she
Applied to but in the end
She decided to go with
Oxford. When asked about
Her decision she would
Talk about how prestigious
And famous the school
Was but in reality she
Would be lying if she
Said it wasn't partially
To spite Clyde.

Sooner than expected
Bonnie was all packed
And she was heading
To the airport cafeteria
When she spotted Clyde
And she rolled her eyes
To herself at the audacity
He had to come and
Say goodbye like this
After all the fuss he had
Made about her moving
Away but then she reminded
Herself that this could
Possibly be the last time
She ever saw him so
She waved and a
Ghost of a smile
Flickered on her lips.

Her good attitude
Towards him went
Quickly though, as she
Saw him frown, skulk over
To her and beg her to stay.
She stared at him with
Her mouth wide open
For what seemed like
Hours, shocked.
Then a sharp echo
Filled the room
As her hand flew up
And smacked him
On the cheek.

She ran off to
Board her plane without
Giving him a second glance
And flew off to her
Promising future
In England.

Without Clyde by her side.

A/n Hi again! Sorry this took a while to post but this chapter was really hard to write (writer's block 😒). Did you think Bonnie would move away? The next chapter is called 'Final Revelation'. What do you think we find out? Just a heads up, the next chapter is going to be from Clyde's point of view so it will be a bit different (I'm still writing in this style though). I'm still not sure if I'll do a sequel but who knows, anything could happen.
