Making A Bet With The Bad Boy

After Colten had said goodnight, I decided to take a shower and try to get some rest. As I was plugging my phone into my portable speaker my phone started to ring. I looked at the caller ID and it said Babe❤️. I rolled my eyes and declined the phone call. I stepped in the shower and let my music play. I couldn't get Jason out of my head. How could he do that to me? Did he even love me?

   I decided to get out the shower and start to get ready for bed. I checked my phone and see I had several text messages from Jason.

Babe❤️:
Skylar I'm sorry please let me explain
Babe❤️:
Skylar please pick up the phone
Babe❤️:
I know I messed up but we need to talk. 
Babe❤️:
You leave me no choice but to go over and explain myself.

As I read his messages I started crying. I couldn't hold it in any longer.

"Skylar?"  Ava called out.

"Hey, I'm sorry if I woke you up."

"No honey you didn't I was just making some tea. Do you want some?"

"No thank you."

"Are you crying about Jason or your Mom?" Ava asked.

"Both but mostly because of Jason. He keeps on texting me and he said he is coming over so he can explain."

"I think the best thing to do is let him explain and just tell him how you feel about the situation."

"Thank you so much Ava it means a lot. I'm happy my mom chose you to be my guardian."

"Awwww honey now I'm gonna start crying." Ava said giving me a hug.

After me and Ava stopped talking the door bell rung. As I was walking down the stairs I hear arguing. It sounded like Colten and Jason.

"Colten. Thanks but I got it from here." I said giving him a slight smile.

"Your welcome I'll be in the living room if you need me." He said walking to the living room.

I stepped outside and close the door.

"Skylar I'm really sorry. I made a huge mistake. Okay it started about 3 months ago we met at a party and we started talking and dancing and then we exchanged numbers. I was planning on telling you that I met someone but then everything happened with your mom and I was your shoulder to cry on. I never wanted you to find out like that. I know you won't forgive me but I just wanted you to know everything and leave on a good note." He said looking down at his feet.

"Leave on a good note? How the hell do you think we will end on a good note. You cheated on me and I found out at dinner the day my mother died. And you think we are gonna leave on a good note? You know what I'm so thankful that I found out tonight. I can't believe I wasted my time on someone like you. So you can go screw your self and leave me the hell alone. Have fun with your girlfriend." I said before walking back into the house and slamming the door. I couldn't help but break down into tears. How can he come here and say he wants to leave on a good note.

"Skylar? Cmon let's go make hot chocolate and watch a movie." Colten said giving me his hand.

"But its late." I responded wiping my tears.

"It's okay my parents won't mind. They know you had a long day. Plus one movie won't hurt."

He was right maybe a movie could take my mind of things for now. Colten made hot chocolate while I picked a movie.

"Here you go." Colten said while handing me a mug and sitting down next to me. I smiled at him and the movie had began. I put the movie Nerve since it was my favorite movie.

"I love this movie." Colten said while taking a sip of his hot chocolate. Colten moved closer to me and put his arm around my shoulder. I had to admit I did have butterflies but I didn't bother moving away. A little bit later and I had fallen asleep in Colten's arms. I felt him kiss my forehead and but a blanket around us. I smiled as i heard him say goodnight and with that I drifter of to sleep again.
