If you loved her then why would you let her go

She sat in the corner with her mascara stained eyes.

Get a guy who ruins your lipstick not your mascara they said.

At one time he ruined my lipstick and made me soar

But here I sit on the floor

His charm and his eyes

The bruises I have

The lady asks what was wrong with me

They told her I was insane

So here I sit all alone in my room

My special room

They turned my mind gush

They put me in a straight jacket to keep me from strangling myself

So here I sit

Bruised from the one I loved

Abandoned by those who called me a friend

He lied and said i was crazy so I would be put in a place where torturing me was legal a place where they said they helped the crazy but really they only made it worse

He comes to see me everyday

He sits there with a smirk on his face and and asks how's crazy treating me

But somehow I still love him

Maybe I am crazy

The lady comes in and says it's time to make it all better

She takes me to a room they turn my brain to mush

"How are you Adeline" they ask

I look around

"That's you" the lady whispered

I peeked up "oh fine" I said back to the pretty lady

A boy came to visit

I didn't know who he was

He asked me how crazy was treating me

I stared at him the foreign man

I said "fine I guess"

The smirk was replaced by a frown

He walked away

I didn't care

I didn't know him

Maybe it's better that way
