Chapter 6 ~ Birthday Prep

Hello, everyone!! What's up??? Just wondering do you guys think I should make a trailer??? Not sure yet still deciding. Feel free to add your input! Also, the above pic is Thalia.

Alexia's POV

"So what are you doing Saturday?" I ask Caleb. Our table wants to throw him a small party at the park, but we're unsure when to do it. 

"Well." Caleb closes his eyes while thinking. "I'm doing something with my family until two-thirty. Why?" 

"It's none of your business." I tell him playfully as we walk the halls to our English class.

"You can't just ask someone's schedule and then say it's none of their business!" Caleb gently shoves me to the side.

"You can when it's near their birthday." I shove him back. "We wanted to throw you a little celebration," I confess to him. 

"Oh cool! I could bring my family! Then you could meet my grandparents, and siblings, and dad!" Caleb's face lit up. "It would be a lot of fun!" 

"Sure! That sounds great. So... Whisper Park at three-thirty?" I clarify with him. He nods while smiling and I can't help but add. "You sure seem to want me to meet your family! Any particular reason??" I eye him mischievously. 

"Yes actually." He looks down at me. "I need my family to approve of you. So when we graduate we can get married. I wouldn't do anything without their approval. You should bring me to meet your family on your birthday." He doesn't crack a smile until the end. Where he begins to laugh hard.

I roll my eyes. "I want to slap you so hard!" 

"Right, but we've already discussed that you slapping me is your way of kissing me. So if you want to slap me I'm not gonna stop you! Just please take into consideration that if we're going to the next level in our relationship we should do it in a more romantic setting." He lectures me.

"You're ridiculous!" I laugh at him. Honestly dating him sounds...

I'm not sure how it sounds.

"So is Saturday a go?" Thalia asks nervously. 

"Yup. We're all set!" I tell her. I look at my bus getting ready to go. "We'll discuss who brings what at lunch tomorrow." I tell her. She nods.

"See you tomorrow!" Excitement floods her face.

I hop onto the bus and see Nick sitting next to Kenzie talking with her. As soon as Kenzie sees me she shoves him out of the seat. 

"Hello, Kenzie. What's up???" I ask her with eyes that say you had better confess.

"Nothing." She brushes it off, avoiding eye contact. "Nick want's to come to the party if we're having it." She tells me.

I turn around and look at Nick. "Saturday, three-thirty at Whisper Park. Bring some soda." I turn back around at Kenzie. "You're welcome."

"I didn't ask you to do that." She tries to act nonchalant. "I could care less if Nick comes."

I smile to myself before vocalizing. "Sure you don't."

Caleb's POV

"Why can't I sit with you guys?" I ask the group as they try to kick me out.

"Because of your birthday!" Kenzie glares at me. "Seriously Alexia already couldn't keep that a secret!" Kenzie looked at Alexia who blushed. She looked adorable blushing, I smiled to myself.

Snap. Kenzie's fingers were right in front of my face. "Pay attention!" She tells me. 

"Fine, but where am I going to sit?" I ask Kenzie. A mischievous look appears on her face.

"Go sit next to Nick and find out if he likes me." I roll my eyes at Kenzie and walk over to Nick.

SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION BUT WE'RE BACK TO ALEXIA'S POV

Alexia's POV

"Okay, so I'll make cupcakes." I tell the group as we go over what we're bringing. "Mikey you're bringing hotdogs."

"I'm bringing chips!" Kenzie interrupts. James high fives her.

"Make sure you bring Doritos!" He tells her. "I'm supposed to bring kickball and a veggie tray." He stuck his tongue out at me. "Gross."

"Haha. Very funny!" I sarcastically comment. "And Thalia you can bring some fruit okay!" 

"This is going to be so fun!" Thalia's face is beaming. Everyone smiles at how in love she is with Caleb except me. Part of me doesn't like that she likes him so much. 

Oh well! I quickly move on from the feeling. Standing up I tell the group. "See you guys later." As I begin to head to class.

Alrighty! This chapter is kinda just a filler... I've decided I will be doing shoutouts from now on so to my first shout out.
