I'm back everyone! I just had to do some things to the story and write a few chapters before I could start publishing again. I'll let you read now ;)
Jessica's POV
"I can't believe you almost got us kicked out!" Lilly exclaimed, a toothy grin plastered onto her face.
"Yeah Jess, how the hell did you manage to do that?" Zayn asked, amusement clear in his voice. I felt my cheeks turn a few shades darker while Lilly informed the boys of our security guard encounter. By the end of it, I probably looked like a tomato.
"I didn't mean to! It's not my fault they didn't believe me." I cried, throwing my arms up into the air for emphasis.
Right now we were all sitting on the boys' dressing room floor, just lying around telling funny stories, and we somehow ended up talking about how the three of us almost got escorted out of the building. Then a thought occurred to me.
"Hey! Speaking of getting kicked out of here, why didn't either of you two back me up?" I asked, pointing a finger accusingly between Lilly and Julia.
"I- I well um we just- just um? Ha Ha. Whoops?" They stuttered in unison. I shot them both a glare before turning my attention back to the boys.
Right as I did so, the door to the room opened and Paul stepped in.
"Its time to finish rehearsing so you girls have to leave now. I'm sorry." He said.
"It's okay." I say smiling, and looking disc are my watch. "I was just about to leave anyways" The girls all shot me questioning looks, not knowing why I had to leave. It would be better if they didn't find out, but I knew they would eventually. "Come on girls. It's time to go."
---------
"What's wrong Jess? Why did you say we had to go?" Lilly asks.
"I didn't say that." I respond tensly.
"Yes you did. You just--" I cut her off.
"No. I didn't. I said that I had to go. And I do. Doctors appointment with Dr. Mitchel." I say, and my eyes grow wide as I realize my mistake. I didn't mean to say the name of the doctor, but it just slipped out.
Julia gasped and Lilly's face turned a pale color.
"Jessica. Don't you dare tell me you think the--" I cut Lilly off again.
"No. Well, I mean, I don't know." I stuttered.
"The symptoms are the same. All of them. It all feels the same as it did before, but I don't know yet. That's what the doctors as going to look for today. They're just going to do a couple of tests. I'm going to be alright."
"But why didn't you tell us?" Julia asked, sympathetically.
"Because I knew you would start worrying when its probably nothing" I snapped, pulling into the hospital parking lot.
---------------------------------
"Name?" Asked the receptionist in a bored tone. Well it seems like she loves her job.
"Jessica Anderson. I have an appointment with Dr. Mitchell." I say. She pressed a couple buttons on her computer before responding.
"Dr. Mitchel is in the back waiting for you. You may head on in."
I turned and waved goodbye to my friends, letting them know I was leaving before heading back through the doors.
"Hello Jessica, how are you today?" Dr. Mitchell asked.
"I've been better."
"I can imagine so. So on the phone the other day, you mentioned you were having the same symptoms as before? Can you please describe them to me?" She asked.
"The same as before. Fevers, night sweats, itchiness, and I've lossed a ton of weight.." I sigh.
"Okay Jessica. We don't know anything yet. I just want to start off with the simeple things first- height and weight." I nodded my head yes.
"Alright then, if you could just step on the sclae here so I can get your height first." I did as she asked.
"Okay Jessica, it seems you are the same height as last time. Still 5'7. Now I'm going to do your weight." I stayed on the scale to let her record how much I weighed.
"Well Jessica, it seems like you have lost a lot of weight. You used to be around 120 pounds, now you seem to only be around 103. Are you working out or on a diet?" Evevn I was shocked by the eight loss. It may not seem like a lot, but I haven't been trying to loose weight. That reminded me of her question.
"No, I havn't done anything. My friends said I looked unhelathy so I've actually been trying to gain a little weight. I see it hasn't been working." I said defeated. She looked at me in sympathy, and I hated it.
"Alright then, we are going to take a few tests then get back to you tomorrow with the results. The computer that normally analyses the test is being fixed so as soon as we get it back tomorrow, we will put in your results and give you a call tomorrow
I nodded, and I took the medical tests.
-----------
I walked back into the waiting rooms, and Julia and Lilly both immediately stood up. Before they could ask me any questions about the tests, I put my hand up.
"I don't know anything yet. I have to wait until tomorrow for the tests to come in." I say, and they nod, walking out the hospital doors to my car.
"You don't know its the same thing Jessica." Lilly says, breaking the silence.
"You haven't been through it before Lilly. I have, and I know what it's like. These are the same symptoms, I'm telling you." I snap back. I look in the rear view mirror and see the girls looking at me with a scared and worried expression.
"Okay Jessica. It's going to be okay."
I nod my head slowly. Not quite believing what they were saying. I've been in this position before. Waiting for the tests to come back. Having them come back with nasty results. Going through everything, and it was the hardest two years of my life. I hope it doesn't turn out to be what I think it is. But so far, the signs aren't looking so good for me.
-----------------------------
