Sometimes I wonder why I do the things I do. Walking out of the cafeteria, acting like I knew where I was going when I certainly didn't. Yeah, that's my current situation.

I tried my best to navigate the halls when things started to get slippery. Thankfully, my boots kept me on my feet but I came to a stop and looked around at the shiny floors. Clearly they had been mopped but...

"What the hell!?" I heard someone say and I looked up to see a guy emerge from around the corner. He gave me a look and started head my way, a mop in hand. Once he had came to stand in front of me he glanced at the food on me.

"I'm sorry. I was just trying to find my way back to the uh- room and I need a change of clothes.." I said trailing off. He sighed and looked down at me with narrowed eyes. "Whats your name?"

"Natalie Carson." I said and he nodded. This most definitely confused me.

"Alright. Follow me. And be careful!" He says, starting to walk off down the opposite direction I had been going. I catch up with him and look at him as I walk. "And what's your name?" I asked nearly slipping only to have him grab my arm.

"Haiden." He said simply, letting go of my arm and staring straight forward as he arrived at a door. He opened it and, rudely, stepped in before I did. With that he went over to a dresser and pulled out a black long sleeve along with a pair of black pants which looked like skinny jeans. As he did this, I couldn't help but notice this was a different room than earlier.

"Uh thanks...Haiden." I said as he shoved the clothes into my hands. He stopped before walking out.

"When you're done, you'll need to go speak with the Boss so I'll have someone waiting outside the door to take you to him." He said, taking his mop and walking out. I sighed and headed into the bathroom which contained a shower and all. Smiling a little, I turned the water slightly past warm as I stripped off my dirty clothes. I fully intended to take my time...

About 20 minutes later I had redressed into the clothes I was given. After putting on my boots, I set my old clothes on the counter and headed to the door. Opening it, I was a man standing to the left of the doorway dressed in a nice black and gray suit. He looked very professional and was somewhat...Intimidating. As soon as I had opened the door he faced me with a straight face. Letting out a sigh he started walking.

"Follow me." He said and I shivered before following behind him. I kept my head down and thought better of asking his name. We walked, heading down various halls before finally we arrived at a door. It was at the end of a hall which just made it seem creepy.

He opened the door and let me walk in. I looked around and there were a few bookcases on the walls and ahead of me was a desk with two chairs in front. This office looked unused almost.

"Sit. Wait here while I go notify Tom of your arrival. Do not move." He says, closing the door behind him. I frown and take a seat in one of the chairs. But of course, me being me, I couldn't sit still. I got up and walked over, examining the book shelf. Oddly enough I was drawn to one of the books. It was small, like a journal encased in brown leather. It was obviously an old book. I nearly skipped over it but my curiosity got the best of me and I pulled it off the shelf.

The star like symbol on the front glowed slightly when I grabbed it and this only made me more curious. I bit my lip as I opened it to the first page. Sure enough, it was a journal entry. Sighing, I started reading it.

This world is not what it seems. We humans are oblivious to the darkness that lay wait in the shadows of this Earth. Evil takes many forms, most of these which go unnoticed to the human eye. We do not understand the power that these creatures, these demons hold. We deny that these things are real yet we stand by and watch as the ones we love disappear or even die without a trace or what did it. There is a solution to stopping these beasts. A kind of...Creature, human with extraordinary power that is strong enough to compete with that of the demons. These people are called the Sparkers-

"Ahem." I jumped and dropped the book. Breathing hard from being startled to death, I look to see a tough looking older man in the doorway. He looked straight at me before closing the door. Walking over, he picked up the book, set it on his desk, calmly, then pointed to the seat I had just gotten up from.

"Take a seat Natalia." He said and I sat, narrowing my eyes.

Questions filled my mind but only one came out. "What am I doing here?" I asked as he walked around to the other side of his desk. He merely looked at me, quite intently as if he were observing me.

Moments later he finally spoke. "You are in grave danger Natalia." He says, receiving a scowl from me.

"Its Natalie. Not Natalia. And why am I in danger? Why did my teacher attack me like that? He was able to close the door with his mind!" I began to ramble on when he stood up, causing me to shut my mouth.

"Your teacher was possessed. He... He's been watching you this year. If it wasn't for William, he might've taken you." He paused and looked at me, almost as if he were observing me. Feeling slightly uncomfortable, I shifted in my seat.

Clearing my throat I crossed my arms and stood up from my seat.

"So... Who are these people? And why can they do this stu-" he cut me off once again and I huffed, growing rather upset, my eyes filling with tears. It's not that I was sad, or scared (though I was most definitely worried) but I was angry.

He kept avoiding answering my questions and that was making me very upset. He noticed this and sighed, walking around the other side of the desk. Resting a hand on my shoulder and he opened his mouth to speak but instead, someone opened the door.

"Yo Tom. I have Riley here with me. Jax brought her in.." I turned to see a familiar face. There I saw Walter standing in the doorway with another girl, one who I didn't recognize.

Walter grinned when he saw me but his smiled faded when he noticed tears. He did not bother saying anything instead he patted Riley on the back and walked out the door, closing it behind him.

  "Now, let's begin."
