She was only 6 years old at the time.

Princess Rosé.

The country was going crazy. Riots, everywhere. People were crashing into buildings and setting fires. They killed anyone at anytime, whenever they felt like it. The police didn't stop them; the police couldn't stop them. Anyone who did try to stop them would be killed.

Simple

Thieves could break into your house and kill you. No one could save you; everyone carried a weapon, from broken glass bottles to guns. Families turned against each other, schools became crime scenes, hospitals were full... full of dead bodies.

You couldn't go home. There isn't anyone to protect you. Not that they would.

You couldn't go outside. That would be suicide.

No one was safe.

The country was overcrowded and the royal family were blamed. They allowed the people of the dangerous neighbouring countries into theirs for protection. But instead, put their lives at more risk. The citizens were angry that their jobs will be taken and houses will be given away. It was unfair. Nothing they said made a difference, and so they fought.

The King and Queen didn't do anything. They had the power to, but they didn't. They sat back and watched their country collapse in hope that it will all calm down. It kept getting worse. They didn't realise how bad it had gotten.

Until the people broke into the palace.

They were armed and killed any guards that came in their way. They ran along the corridors, destroying anything in their way, they were screaming.

The King and Queen hid Rosé behind them.

"Rosé," her father said. He had tears in his eyes.

"The scary people are going to come in here. They are going to come towards Mummy and Daddy, okay? When they come closer, you have to run out behind them, go to the maid in her room downstairs, she'll look after you. You have to be careful Rosé."

Her mother was crying.

"Are we actually doing this Louis? Are we ever going to see our child again?" The Queen was pale and started shaking.

"We have to save her. She has to live."

They both turned back to her and held her tight.

"Stay safe, make sure you tell Lau-"

They heard the footsteps.

The Princess stayed silent, oblivious to what was going on.

"Goodbye Rosé."
